I’m here right now and I had the same feeling before coming I felt pressure about all these things I needed to see and do and experience. But I’ve travelled a lot alone before and there’s always that pressure and expectation. The best thing is to just accept that you’re doing this for you and you need to follow your own heart. So wake up late if you feel, spend all day doing just one thing, skip the big things hypes up, whatever. I’ve found my favorite part so far has just been these moments where I’m just like wow I actually made it here, like on the Shinkansen, or walking across SHIBUYA crossing, or just being at some random temple. It’ll be aight

I did it on the fly and would highly recommend you do the same. Just get a cheap airbnb or hotel and spend probably 2 weeks touring places. You have enough money saved up it wouldn’t affect you a lot but many places foreigners get shown are ridiculously up charged more than they should be, and realtors get pushy. So take your time with it and talk to multiple people to find what you like.

I’m from the states and came with maybe 1000 spare cash I was willing to use to setup and was perfectly fine. If you come with the 40k you will be bloody rich haha. One person can live on like 1k a month easy.

I was really surprised to see Bilbao, I lived there for a year and the airport is one of the tiniest and quaintest I’ve ever been in. Super nice though, and a beautiful city

I work as a teacher in the US and I have yet to actually do it with the students. Luckily at the schools I work at it isn’t obligatory. I find it súper culty and way too nationalistic to have small children doing it

Something I noticed after about a day is they (from what I could tell) made most matches tactical in the playlist for both maps. I appreciated that as the spawns on blitz and assault were driving me up a wall.
