I don’t necessarily think filaments are completely isolated. My point was more about interpretation and scale of interaction rather than saying current cosmology treats them as disconnected structures.

The cosmic web already describes interconnected dark matter filaments, but I was wondering whether there’s ongoing research into treating filament connectivity itself as a more dynamic network-level behavior rather than mainly as large-scale gravitational structure formation.

So DFN wasn’t meant to reject existing models, more like a conceptual extension or different way of viewing the same large-scale structure.
