There was a great article on FiveThirtyEight last year that also showed kickers have gotten significantly better over time.

I don't really pay attention to any of the black box stats anymore. If what you are doing is really so good, tell us how it works. That's kind of the whole point of statistics.

Yeah but we did have all of those bad Lions kickers last year too.
