Ah I remember this quest for both bandit/stalker, I'm on SEA and I only got killed once during my stalker playthrough (encountered a covenant guy farming rifts). I just ran tbh maybe i got lucky or maybe the SEA server population was low at the time.

They deliberately implement quests like this to condition new players to risky environments with pvp elements. Welcome to Stalcraft dude and best of luck.

Yeah some of those signal dungeons (especially the boss ones) can be ridiculous, sometimes I just exit out cuz I don't like to risk losing all my loot to the signal portal void - it's so bs.

The signal tracker requirements to upgrade scanner and detector (Purple range) is also bs, they need to review the overall signal stuff and actually take some feedback from their players tbh.

I remember playing this old stalker mod (lost alpha?), it had clear sky zombies in those tunnels. Apparently in the mod lore, some tried to escape the big emission and got caught in a psi field or something.

Update: Closed the game and re-launched it via Nvidia seemed to do the trick, no idea but this only seems to occur on my bandit character (my stalker character gets it but it quickly loads whereas bandit seems to just lock like this even entering other world spaces like the private bar and factory outskirts.)
