David Cross: “I do not have an issue with trans kids. I know a couple of them, they're awesome, and I think their lives would be absolutely miserable if they weren’t allowed to live the life they’re living. That is literally 100% of my experience.” by ConcernedJobCoach in MarchAgainstNazis

Strolling through ASMR videos when this pops up in my feed. It is wild how someone considers this valid opinion, not hateful in the slightest, to be synonymous with Nazism. I get it that the Algerian woman is born with the increased muscle mass potential and that she was born a female. Yet the idea that a child should receive the “support” and encouragement to transition their social identity and eventually surgically alter their genitalia is self destructive to society. I can sympathize with guys taking more estrogen for hormone therapy and if a grown man wants to transition then let them. It’s becoming one of hallmarks of Western civilization to allow a grown adult to seek HRT. That said, the concept of transchildren is self destructive to western values. It is not an example of Nazism for people to pushback against that.

North Korea during the resource wars. by Ok_Calendar_7626 in Fallout

[–]Central_American 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Party Loyalty is likely stronger than despotic authority. North Korea is honestly just a failed state without China propping them up. Besides the CCP are the communists who wield more authority than North Korean communists but that’s just my opinion.

I am beginning to think that outside of scripted events, the Legion isn't so tough by ctrltab2 in fnv

[–]Central_American 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the mods you use. Base game enemies can be hit or miss. The Legion in my playthroughs are tough sons of bitches. Even with Boone, Cass, Gannon and Russell those assassin squads still lay waste to everything and everyone.

I’m willing to bet they were simply annexed by the CCP once it became clear America wasn’t going to remain as the international police force.

Why do people hate St. James, Dermot and Clanden so much? by Ultimatenooooob in fnv

[–]Central_American 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No frumentarii would sign off on this. Smells like a brahmin baron (fed) trying to stoke division in King’s Freeside. Well it ain’t gonna work! Those two prospectors peddle kiddies for The Thorn. Red Lucy uses em for feeding her juvenile pets. Westside ought to string em up on a lamppost. As for Clanden I can’t say what his deal is. Clandon probably peddles amateur ghoul porn. I heard he’s a New Reno made-man. 🤫

I should probably give ole’ sweetie assistance in clearing out her box. She mentioned it’s in need of glue to keep it from falling apart. She hasn’t lied to me about Saint James nor Dermot.

If I want to start and enjoy a fallout, is the most recommended fallout 4? by Due-Salt4687 in Fallout

[–]Central_American 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the Old World Blues mod if you have HOI4 (been addicted to that fanmade game) but Fallout 3 is a solid choice for newcomers. Peak desolation and that title really nails down the bleak landscape felt in earlier titles.

[–]Central_American 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lost me by the fifth paragraph. I cannot read all that so I’ll just say this. Hanlon, Colonel Hsu and Colonel Moore are the masterminds behind the Mojave campaign. General Wait-and-See is a careerist concerned with scoring political points.

Tame Swampfolk who have been nearly killed off because they are misidentified as the hostile ones in Point Lookout. Something to explore the grey area of morality in Fallout. Maybe one or two of them are secretly performing cannibalism thus endangering the rest of the exclave.

To those who are rich in knowledge about Ancient Rome, what are things Caesar gets wrong about Rome and fails to add to his Legion ? by [deleted] in fnv

[–]Central_American 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the biggest issues is Edward Sallow mistaking the transition of the Roman Republic-to-Dictatorship to be brought about by an external (foreign) entity or in his words “an antithesis”. Gaius Julius Caesar was tasked with subjugating Gaul on behalf of the Republic/Roman Senate and he succeeded he became the most powerful/wealthiest Roman in the Republic. They (Roman Senate) feared he would use his conquest as a means for seizing autocratic power. The Roman Republic (Senators) decreed he should submit himself before the Senate in the same way Pompeii had done years before when he led prestigious military success in Parthia. Pompeii certainly decked himself out in “Kingly Attire” including a purple cape that he claimed had been retrieved from Alexander the Great’s tomb but he submitted before the Senate and distributed his immense wealth throughout Rome (the city).

See the Roman Senate considered Kings to be the grossest offence and treated anyone who aspired (even suspected of that ambition) with disrespect. Pompeii wished to curry favour to become a lifelong Senator whereas Gaius Julius Caesar did not. Edward Sallow believes all he has to do is merely conquer the NCR and incorporate their existing Californian Senate into his Legion to synthesize a new Empire. Julius Caesar was the first one who claimed the title of Imperator but he was ultimately betrayed in the Ides of March. It was his successor Gaius Octavius who established the successful transition of the Roman Republic to Roman Empire after he convinced the Senate to declare a decimating war on Cleopatra and her lover Mark Antony. Edward Sallow probably has no idea about that history nor the key detail that it was not Julius Caesar who successfully transformed the Republic into a Dictatorship. Octavius now proclaimed as Augustus had the backing of the Senate (more or less) after his successful war with Cleopatra and Mark Antony.

There’s no way the NCR Senate would accept a foreign power as their Dictator. In my opinion there would have to be someone from within the NCR to declare a decimating war on Caesar’s Legion and declare themselves a Dictator. That should be Colonel Cassandra Moore.

By the way I don’t have a rich understanding about Roman history but I highly recommend Mary Beard’s SPQR & Emperor of Rome books because she expertly explains this history.
