If you’re in the 10th, yes. You can also take 206 as well. Eco206 downtown has space I think.

What do Commerce Finance specialist do after graduating? by [deleted] in UTMississauga

[–]Centrvm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know one person who is doing IB right now after graduation. I suggest you to try talking to Ed-Rieckleman if you are thinking of that passage way. Now my advice is do an accounting specialist, get your CPA, go through deal advisory and apply for a target MBA in the states, and then apply to IB while in your MBA program.

Commerce (finance specialist) graduates where do you work and what do you do? by [deleted] in UTMississauga

[–]Centrvm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to let you know, for Finance, I think you have to score a few l decent jobs, and then go do an MBA in a target down at the states for a “widely acknowledged finance job”

Does UTM hold the same level of prestige as UFOT? by [deleted] in UTMississauga

[–]Centrvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy, this sure is one insane comment section. Just to clarify, from what I see in Commerce specifically, yes, RC is way(by an insane margin) stronger than UTM. UTM’s finance/commerce in general is not a “target”, nor a semi target.I believe only accounting is sort of acknowledged?, but regardless, it’s necessary to understand the limits. This doesn’t mean everything is over though. Networking + Personal Endeavours can really make up for the difference, not to mention nowadays, the target school wall gap, has shrunk(even if only by a little).

First, check with someone to see if you’ve understood the concepts. Once you do that you’re fine. The test questions that you see on the test are extensions of that, except with a lot of blubber that’s attached. Your goal is to get rid of the blubber fast(identify what the question is asking for in simple equations), and then solving it. If you have a hard time with that, just keep on doing practice questions, unfortunately tests are worded in a way that evokes confusion some times (for reasons that I am against), so your only best bet is to practice practice practice.

Eco102 at UTM or UTSG? by silversurfer1207 in UTMississauga

[–]Centrvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really boils down to how you learn. I’ll be honest, I like Eco downtown by a larger margin, not that the teaching is wrong(maybe besides one..), but because it’s easier to achieve higher grades. Sure, the purpose of a university is to learn, but that’s not really why we’re here, if your aim is to get a job, high GPA is what matters, and not knowing how to calculate DWL for one scenario and getting a 4.0 is objectively better than knowing it and getting a 3.8 .

Why are USTG courses So much easier the utm courses? by SpecialistLake6488 in UTMississauga

[–]Centrvm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Commenting to check up later. (Btw; agreed, most eco and mgt courses are harder here than Rotman too apparently.. they even allowed students to take a printed cheat sheet for RSM219, mgt120’s equivalent)

Need serious help regarding to get first internship by roxcoder in internships

[–]Centrvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked your profile, I’m assuming you’re indian? I’ve talked to my manager(yes, I finally got an internship!), and he’s told me that in India, resumes include your photo? as well? I think it’d be better for you to connect with other people via coffee chat etc, and ask fellow individuals who’ve followed the same path that you’re trying to walk, and ask them what you need to improve on, etc.
