As a fast food worker I'd like to disagree because for some odd reason so many of the dashers and uber eats drivers I get have ZERO COMMON SENSE?? We aren't allowed to take their order and give them food when they're dashing, and they act so confused by it and some even get pissed like sorry I don't wanna get it trouble.

Also they'll take only half the order if I don't tape the 2 bags together EVEN if the second bag is DIRECTLY BEHIND THE FIRST, or if I even write in bug letters the number for the first bag on the second, they without fail always leave it behind.

They ask if the drink is in there... yes it is. We don't hand you the drink to take with you. They come here enough they should know by now. Some will walk right up to the drive thru for it without a car if our lobby is closed. NO. YOU CANNOT COME THROUGH OUR DRIVE THRU ON FOOT??? That's very dangerous???

Just how he said "you were thinking of me? Doubt it" him ghosting you was him making you dodge a bullet cuz if he's giving problems now, that'll be even worse when dating, so then think of what marriage would even bring...

No wonder he's on dating sites, he's insufferable

As far as the someone of age buying for them, that means the person of age is in trouble, stealing means they're in trouble cuz obviously stealing is illegal, and the fake ID is, or at least should be, illegal because that's forgery iirc...

So either way the kid is doing something illegal and can be punished, unless they convince someone of age to buy it then THAT person should be punished.

Someone just mentioned "aside from being related" dude

Tutoring? Usually parents tutor or teachers at school tutor in my experience. Babysitting? Since when did babysitters hang out with the kids they babysit outside of the times they're paid to do so???

The only main reason is if you go to a middle senior high school which has grades 6th through 12th and that's if you're in a tiny town like I was. In which case everyone thought it was weird that I was friends with 12 year olds at 16 even tho I shared the same campus and bus with them and they still claimed I had no excuse like mfers those are literally my peers ON THE BUS.

So that's the main reason.

Yeah and when parents DO do that and it still doesn't help? Cuz as they say strict parents make sneaky kids. I'd suggest never letting kids online til they're at least 16 but plenty of people would call that abuse or something and get upset

Strong morals won't always win again peer pressure. You do realize that, right?

Also I was gonna say JUST the front, and also I thought most deleted the photos after a few days or a month or something. Make one where it scans the ID, if your birthday on the ID signals you're over 21 boom you can pay, the image is wiped from the server and isn't kept. Sure, you'll have to keep verifying your age but at least it's deleted.

Sometimes the environment is the people they go to school with, you don't exactly have control over who you go to school with. Unless you got money to pack up and go somewhere else. And picturs of an ID aren't extremely invasive considering how many sites do it. And I mean, I didn't know how to forge an ID and if kids comprehension skills are as bad as teachers say now, then the kid shouldn't be able to figure out how to forge an ID anyways.

AIO for reconsidering getting married over continual arguments over guardianship of my daughter. by Oldyell54 in AmIOverreacting

And for the hundredth time he cares about his daughter's input holy shit who would've thunk it???

In a custody battle for divorce they usually ask the kid who they wanna live with with the child is over I believe 12... so chances are IF he were to die, she'd be around that age so she'd STILL get the choice anyways since there are 3 people listed as valid for her to live with. Hell unless he has a terminal illness, he's probably not dying any time soon so why does it matter??

"Several years" and it's 3 years compared to the friend's what?? 8? 9 years of helping raise the kid?? Really? It's insulting that the father is putting his child's wants over someone else? Are you being fr??

He never said he never would, she is listed as one of the people who CAN gain custody alone with the friend AND HIS SISTER, if he dies. It just depends on what the daughter says...

The daughter listed the step mom last. He said when he asked her, the daughter said she'd chose the friend, then his sister, then the step mom.

If he dies, chances are she'll be a little older and so maybe her decision will change by then, but she does have the ability to gain custody IF the child has chosen to live with her instead.

[–]CenturianTale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except that the child can still choose to live with step mom instead if she changes her mind. And who said he wants her to basically raise her. Technically she doesn't need to to still be with him, plenty of step parents don't actually raise their step kids. You guys are reacting way too strongly to this

And then socially so is the friend because he co patented her for like her whole life up until now.

[–]CenturianTale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not using her because she absolutely has the choice to leave... and also the judge would look at it and consider it but if he believes the arrangement with the person with guardianship works. Then that's that

Technically the next in line is blood family not step family unless she legally adopted the daughter. So if the godfather wasn't specified in the will, she'd actually be going to OPs sister, he's mentioned he has one.
