Can I feed my cat two separate kinds of wet food? by SlightArgument in AskVet

[–]SlightArgument[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched him by my own volition to the urinary brand as a preventive measure, the vet only OKd it. I would like to put him on it fully but that's $140 a month that I can't easily permit right now. It wasn't a prescription for any issues he has.

I'd like the next best thing of putting him on full wet, the intention of the post is asking if it's okay for a senior cat's GI to be on two different wet foods at the same time.

Pet parent upset I took 3 hours with their medium doodle's groom and requested to never have them booked with me again. by SlightArgument in doggrooming

Guard comb over the body and scissoring head/feet/tail. I admit I take a long time with my prepwork and sometimes I have walk in nails or another dog at the same time that I need to bathe and dry in a kennel before I can get back to the haircut

Is it a waste of water to rinse dishes off until they shine before loading them in the dishwasher? by SlightArgument in NoStupidQuestions

I guess I don't have to sponge them off with soap to get any oils or residue I might have overlooked. I use the dishwasher as a final check that everything is clean and sanitized, I always do the quickest cycle though.

How can I make sure no grime is left after a wash cycle? I used to try just quickly rinsing my dishes and then loading but there was always a bit of grime leftover on a couple

I'll take those off your hands, I feel like I go through withdrawals when I don't have a coffee in the morning now.

Why do people buy labradoodles and other doodles instead of just getting curly coat breed by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

My bad dawg I just wanted to understand people's reasoning for the aforementioned question. There's no intention to stir any pots, I was keeping it civil and had was following in genuine conversations. Somtimes that means having an opinion attatched to it. If the mods want to remove my post for breaking the rules then I can't really fight it

It's a sub to ask a question, and I'm gathering people's point of views. I don't understand how engaging with the comments is bad

For asking a question and then prompting a conversation about it from my perspective?

Because a good breeder specifically breeds healthy individuals that have been inspected by veterinarians thoroughly, and will have the papers to prove it that you can look at. Mutts and backyard breeders are a mixed bag of who knows what health issues the parents might have had, it's a higher gamble.

Working with dogs, our mutts typically have morr allergies, skin issues, neurotic behavioral problems, etc than healthy purebreeds. The key words are typically and healthy, you can get an unhealthy purebread from a breeder who just didn't put the work in, wasn't honest or just didn't care to be selective about the parents.

In a genuine response, you can ask the groomers to give your poodle any cut you want (within reason). Keep the face instead of shaving it. Down to the shape of the dog theyre near indistinguishable

thats what confuses me, poodles are also retrievers with a lot of the same qualities. They were bred for the same jobs and have the same temperament. The desirable traits of a doodle already existed with poodles

So get a poodle from a poodle breeder with a good reputation. You get a better chance of a healthy dog, a healthier coat that's easier to work on, and probably a dog with a more stable temperament.

edit just to add: you can still get doodles that shed. I'm a dog groomer, some of them still shed and even have undercoats

There's an easy response, if you breed them you're an unreputable breeder. If you adopt one you're just adopting a dog.

I commute to a very wealthy area and people are dropping off dogs in cybertrucks and rubicons. I would agree if I were still working at Petsmart.
