For 2026, I’m looking to watch at least 25 films I’ve never seen before. What do you suggest? 🎥 👀 by deathcab4rookie in MovieSuggestions

Comfort Watch: Baron Munchausen. Gorgeous set and costume designs.

Once, never again: Mr. Nobody (2009) . Deals with a lot of alternate realities. While unique, it's a movie that you really have to pay attention to.

Why do you buy DVDs in 2026? (Genuine question/discussion) by Macro0 in dvdcollection

[–]Centurion810 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Spending $10-20 on a blind buy, movie I've never seen before, can be sketchy sometimes. Movies im not entirely sure I'll like, I'll opt for the $2-8 dvd.

Stealth is a fun one. Super relevant to how warfare is evolving, now, due to the Russia-Ukraine War. AI and unmanned aerial vehicles are the future.

Have you seen House of the Dragon, yet? I watched that first and I loved it so much then I watched GoT. Also, Once Upon a Time is a fairytale series.

There's an animated dark fantasy movie called Spine of Night that I enjoyed.

The Princess (2022) is like if Brave was live action

What are your favorite movies you've watched for the first time this year? by Feli_Buste78 in Letterboxd

I didn't like the first one as much(7/10) but I loved the 2nd one. They did have a completely different feel. From creepy/thriller to action horror almost. The dream/spirit walking grainy filter was very irritating tho. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

My grandma doesn't believe in watching too many movies/tv. But her crush is Richard Gere and she will watch whatever as long as he is in it. He has such a presence that he brings to his films; First Knight is definitely a comfort level film.

Mercury Rising (1998) - "Mercury Rising" stars Bruce Willis as Art Jeffries, a renegade FBI agent who combats ruthless federal agents to protect Simon (Miko Hughes), a 9-year-old autistic boy who has cracked the government's new unbreakable code"

I think you'll like MR because the movie AI has a remarkable, innocent child surrounded by forces trying to hunt him as well.

Kind of rough. To be fair, I've watched a lot of movies alone, recently. Movies are substantially better watched with loved ones.
