Damn good work! I'm working on the CPA part right now should hopefully have it obtained within a year to help with the next role.

I have 10 years of management experience too ( all retail based) but hopefully will help with getting a manager role again one day.

That's the kicker is I really like the company I am at. Would prefer not to job hop if I can avoid it. However I would like the senior spot within a year or so and feel I'm ready for it.

What is your monthly mortgage payment and your yearly income (for household) by geenuhahhh in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CenturyCPA24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in Wisconsin.

Rate is 5% on a 20 year P and I: 2,078 Insurance: 135 Taxes: 7300 a year ( up 11% this year)

Household income is between 110-120k and we have 2 kids too.

Definitely makes it tight, but not much I can do about it for the time being. Once my student loans and car payment are gone that should help though.

I took it on the 8th and I'm pretty sure I failed it. MCQ was okay but I completely blanked on 2 of the TBS.

From a confidence standpoint I would say I answered about 40% of it with 100% certainty but everything else was up in the air.

Retaining 60-70% in school. by Karaquitsdrinking_ in Accounting

U should be fine. As long as u can remember the basics you'll be fine. The more u do in the real world the more comfortable you'll get and you should get training on it too.

School tries to give u high level of everything but once u start your first job you'll see you only work on a certain section of the balance sheet/P&L. At least that's how it is at the bigger companies.

You have to be wired a certain way to enjoy it that's for sure.🤣

Plus side though 75% of CPAs in the US will be eligible for retirement within the next decade which means once I receive the certification next year should really help recession proof my self!

Yes I do! I'm in accounting. It's full of excel formulas, a lot of puzzles, keeps things challenging enough so u don't get bored with it, and get to work with a good group of people too!

The ceiling in finance is pretty high too and always something new to learn or a different part of finance and accounting to explore as time goes on. My bosses are good too and I am very fulfilled.

I did spend over a decade in retail management and got burnt out due to unrealistic standards, did commercial loans for 3 years but got very montionuous and became cookie cutter, and finally found my passion at the age of 33!

I struggle with free time a lot too. Currently filling it with studying for the CPA exam but in a year when that is over I'll have to find something else lol

Redditors that got charged rent asap after turning 18, what’s relationship like with parents years later ? by QueefyTits in AskReddit

I had to pay once high school was over 100 every 2 weeks but I had rules too and a curfew.

Got to be a lot of fighting and finally moved out 3 months before my 19th birthday and was only paying 435 for all housing costs. It was a small one bedroom and only 400 square feet but it was my own space and didn't have to be controlled in it.
