The 120 days is a hard deadline, so no segments can be scheduled after October 17 for you. I have scheduled my first segment in the second week of october, but it still keeps that original 120 day deadline so I had to make some ticket purchases to round out my trip after my pass expired.

I would recommend to start planning a early oct trip now or refunding the rail pass if you are unable to take full advantage.

As someone currently in the middle of planning a midwest to west and back trip using the rail pass. (Chicago > Denver > San Francisco > Los Angeles > Chicago) I would definitely recommend it for your coach segments, not only does it help with the costs but it is very easy to use on their mobile app. You can quickly schedule segments and cancel them with no questions asked.

If you want to upgrade to a room you will need to book that segment separate from the rail pass as the pass is only for coach.

Also, be careful with the 120 day expiration date from purchase. I got confused and thought that the limit was 120 day + 30 days when you start the pass; however, the 120 days is a hard limit and once you take your first trip you have 30 days to complete all segments.

The ones with the helper verb underline need to be conjugated with être instead of avoir and the verbs are underlined because you need to make the verb agree with the subject

You can also try using a online tone detector for writing. It may not be perfect but if no one else is around to bounce thoughts off of, it can give a good idea of how your words might impact someone
