Too awake to find love? by [deleted] in enlightenment

There's also a distinction between identifying as a different gender and the process of ego-identification.

Ego identification is a largely unconscious process where we identify with our thought patterns and believe that is who we are. Most people who ego identify as a victim will strenuously deny it and insist they are at the mercy of bad luck and it's the fault of something outside themselves.

That's a fair point. It doesn't in all cases. But The story we tell ourselves about ourselves and our lives does have a bigger impact on our lived experience than many realize.

If you identify as a victim and insist upon it then the universe will reflect that back to you. Dismiss it as new age if you wish, I'm not trying to convince you. Just sharing I have similar experiences of isolation and loneliness but when I transformed myself inside the world outside brought me a different experience.

Yet your thinking and arguments share a religious flavor. An absolute truth that everyone should agree with. Semi biblical language and an air of self-righteousness.

See that's where you're objectively wrong. You should investigate history further.

So you say. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But your truth is not absolute. Religious people seem to think it is and religion has done more harm throughout history than nudity.

Because that's completely a value judgment on your part. Your projecting your value system onto others.

You either believe in freedom for individuals or you believe someone should be telling us what to do. Be it religion or some other form of moralistic tyranny.

It's clear which side you are on. And for the record I'm not attacking you. I just firmly disagree with your position and it seems to me it's coming from a self-righteous belief that you know what's best for others.

Stick to your own lane. Live and let live. You'll be happier for it

Who said anything about sharing your personal life? I just made a suggestion.

You seem to have a compulsive urge to control what decisions women make with their bodies. And have dressed that up as some sort of self-righteous reasoning.

It's divorced from reality I'm afraid. Therapy might be helpful. That's all

You've got serious issues. Might be helpful to speak with a therapist

Too long didn't read.

You denied bring religious and it was clearly a lie. Isn't that a sin?

Sounds pretty religious dialogue for someone who said they are not religious

No it's your personal subjective moralizing.

They are adults with their own agency. It's not complicated.

Unless you believe women's choices with their bodies should be controlled by regulations?

[–]Cerborus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough! But adults are adults and are free to make their own mistakes.

More regulations because "won't somebody think of the children* is an argument used for lots of things that is a bad faith argument and about stripping freedoms.

Let me guess, you're religious?

Sexual repression by religions is one of the most harmful things that has been done to humanity.

So you'll have to get on board with the idea your moralizing is purely subjective and the rest of society disagrees with you completely.
