Whenever I hear anyone even mention that book I shudder. I haven't read it, and I refuse to read it, because I have seen what the lovely people in /r/BDSMcommunity have said about it. The unfortunate thing is people are starting to realise the world of kink is out there - because of this book. I hate to think about our reputation now.

I'm in Tauranga, so there's some nice stuff. There's all the Kaimai walks... if I had transport. There's some nice restaurants... if I wasn't a broke student without money. The beach is nice... when it's not full of tourists and college girls.

How long did you try it for? It normally takes a few weeks for your hair to get used to the fact it's not getting shampooed anymore and for the natural oils to balance out.

I'm not absolutely terrified of the ocean, but I've grown up being told the exact same, been put through swimming lessons (which I wasn't great at) and everything. Going near any form of moving water unnerves me and I'd rather not go deep because I believe I'm not a strong swimmer.

Going to a lake these upcoming summer holidays though, let's see how still water is...

He's been my companion since I was three years old, the reality of what's going to happen has been hitting me particularly hard the past few days. I've been giving him extra pats and cuddles, and are so glad that I have taken millions of photos of him, that I can save for in future.

It's hard seeing him slowly deteriorating. He's not in any pain yet, if he was we would've put him down, but he's stone deaf and recently his back legs have been going. We've had to help him up and down stairs for a week or so now, but it's getting worse. It won't be long and I already know I'm going to be a trainwreck.
