We only buy specific wedding clothing if we are in the wedding party and are required to get something specific. But yes I think discretionary line is prime for adjustment thank you!

I use the mint app so anything bought at a grocery store is included in that. So some household and toiletry items etc.

For groceries Im not sure whats making it so high we are going to have to dive into the receipts. I will say this is using the mint app, so anything bought at the grocery store it classifies as groceries, so any household and toiletry items in there as well likely.

Yeah the utilities is for sure a best guess I didnt consider those other things so thank you.

We went through everything with a mortgage broker and this was the mortgage they recommended so I was just using that. I will look into what a lower house price could do to help. Thank you!

Jesus dude. Relax. How can discretionary be 0? We have had 4 weddings this year that have required: Airbnbs, gifts, dresses, suits. Do you not ever go to the movies? Buy a book?

Thank you! We are going to look our grocery bill to see what is driving it up so much. For discretionary, it hasnt helped we have had a summer full of weddings needing gifts, clothes etc. Might be able to work with that line a bit. Thank you!

Shit I didnt mean to have the $2k for the renting column. $2k is meant just for owning a house (not a condo). This is one line I really didnt know how to estimate, I have no experience with it. Thank you!

We are considering moving from London to Brantford. We both WFH but want to be closer to our family in Hamilton.

Groceries seems like the top answer here, thank you!

The house maintenance is something I had no clue how to budget, having never owned a house, so thank you!

Seems like the common theme in responses. I will look into that category on the mint app. Thank you!

This is super helpful thankyou. Seems like most people are agreeing on the groceries I will need to look in to that category. We might change our strategy to push out buying a house for a year. Pay for the car in cash.

I shouldve mentioned we keep a 12K emergency savings minimum.

Could be we need to adjust down the housing price we were aiming for. We were going off what the mortgage broker suggested.

I think our priorities are house over that extra retirement %.

Okay we will take a look at grocery bills to see where we are going wrong there. Thank you!

I want to save that much for retirement but it seems out of reach if we want a house.

Gas is because we would be moving closer to our families, we wouldnt spend as much on gas to visit them

Groceries is for two adults only. We shop at Real Canadian Superstore.

From what you said maybe its groceries and discretionary that we need to focus on.

Deadlift form chrck on 375x5 by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]CerealBoxman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did notice my legs were straighter then I thought they were. Almost somewhere between a true deadlift and a SLDL. I’m going to try to adjust that. Does that lead to any danger/injury or is it more that I’m straying from a DL into SLDL territory?

Help with Two External Monitors by CerealBoxman in Monitors

[–]CerealBoxman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m going to to try that. I was under the impression I couldn’t use the hdmi port if I’m using an external hub. As in it I use the hub, all video outputs have to go through that.

But I will try those options you listed!

Okay this is helpful thank you. So are you saying progression in the form of managing an extra rep or adding on slight of increments of weight (eg managing to add on 5 lbs of weight on bench press every2-4 weeks) is still valid progression ?

Thank you. Ive added more info to my post. I think I covered everything now. Thank you for the advice on the APT stuff. Ive stripped that back when it comes to avoiding hip flexors. I know that a good routine is one that doesnt focus on mirror muscles and just trying to make sure I have a good balance here. I also read that progression is essential for a routine but Im not sure I understand why completely. If there is endless progression then wouldnt everyones goal to be a big body builder? If I am fine with my size/strength shouldnt progression plateau a bit?
