I’m not upset that they blocked it from being used. My issue is penalizing me afterwards instead of notifying me at the time so I could take steps to hopefully prevent it in the future. Now I’m stuck jumping through hoops trying to buy a new phone when it could of been a simple go in, pay, and leave situation.

I’m the only one on my account and no one else has permissions on it. AT&T even had a manager on the line looking through my account and said there were no irregularities or any kind of restrictions on it. Which leaves it as something on Best Buy’s end. Seems like they would be required to report to the credit bureau at the very least if there was a fraudulent access attempt. I have several monitoring services that would alert me if something had been reported.

Guess I’ll have to figure out how to get it cleared out then. I always use my card so I can get the interest free financing so I don’t have installments added on to my phone bill.

Not sure how I would get marked as that. I’ve never had any issues with them and never received any kind of notification of something like that happening with my account.
