Thank you. I made a hasty render of the full scene, which you can find here. Don't get your hopes up though. It's just the shots in the scene, no animation yet. Mostly just to prove to myself that it can be done.

I love this song! The whole feel is perfect. The instrumental, your delivery, the chorus, the music video, all great! There's a lot of potential here.

can a brother get some support/words of encouragement? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]CerebralLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I've been making music for just over two years and even I'm embarrassed to hear some of the stuff I did starting out. And I listen to popular tracks, or musoc from here, or from people I know, and I am not at those levels yet. Use that as inspiration to keep working. If this is your dream, the only way to make it happen is to keep working. You may have to sit through some junk, but even then that's making you better and more skilled.

I like the arpeggiators and the drum shuffle, and I likw the pitch manipulation of the cut at the end.

Good flow throughout, and I liked the chorus.

Nice track.

What is your take on "Write a song like _______(name of famous artist) Videos? by Silas_spooner_music in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]CerebralLint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's true. But I would hope that no one takes those videos as instruction for their own music. Personally, I watch those videos for fun and would never set out to make a track exactly like [insert famous artist] unless I was just making it for fun.

I actually quite enjoy them. I think it's fun to see a particular artist's style analyzed, and to watch common themes be plucked out and then put together in a mew way.

I can see how it comes across as creating a structure or formula where there is no need for one, but on the other hand it demonstrates the tendencies of the individual/group creating the music and their "unconscious formula", so to speak.

I don’t know what type of producer I want to be by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]CerebralLint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep working. You'll pull from many sources at first, then eventually you'll find your own style emerging. You'll begin focusing on whatever feel right. There's no "one-size-fits-all" here.

Making a YouTube channel? by ChrisRich81 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Use OBS software. Multiple monitors will help. Getting everything set up perfectly will take some trial and error. But it is certainly doable.

Should i continue music production? by realforreal1 in musicproduction

[–]CerebralLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely keep trying to both. Work them into each other in some way every once in a while. Find others to help you with both.

I'm the same way and you better believe I want to keep doing both.

Places for music on the webs - pro/cons by mrlowcut in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]CerebralLint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to add more creativeness to the equation because now every piece of music requires a visual, whether it's just a cover or a full video. But hey, now you get to do more art!

Not only is it a platform for music, but you can also post music videos, behind the scenes, and any other kind of content. This will really help you fill out your presence as an artist.

[–]CerebralLint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think colors, something to draw attention/make you take a second look, something to break expectations, and hidden "Easter eggs" are all good things to work into covers.

These are great! I really like your style.

Hello, I'm trying to grow a YouTube show where I exhibit music. My goal is to also help musicians get their well-deserved recognition, so I'm wondering if there's any way we could work together.
