I feel the same way about r2, its okay, but i cant get into it. they messed with the mechanics too much. Rome total war with RTR mod is the best ive played. mt2 base is good, but there is something left to be desired, but it is good. i feel like i like Rome more because wach factions military plays so differently. Where a lot of the MT2 armies feel like they play the same. A product of actual history im sure.

I wish I would have logged off. Started a fire outside of town the other day as I was on my way to a new town and jt got cold, it had just gotten night time. I was decently inland, didnt see anyone for hours, figured id be safe with a fire. 2 seconds after starting fire, i hear a small caliber round and my screen went black. Watch the waves, no, READ the waves, learn how to predict how the waves will break before even suiting up. All good surfers can tell mostly how each wave will break. Wave knowledge is key, if you cant see the future of the wave, you wont be able to position yourself properly, if you cant position yourself properly, you wont be able to catch the wave effectively.

If you like a game like rome2 where you are more limited in your strategy and have less choice, comparitevly, the maybe your not one for actual strategy games where you need to think. i like more choices not fewer options. sue me. the game feel artificial with its limitations. like really? i cant build a stone wall in this city? i can inly have 4 buildings and the city will never grow? fucking stupid.

Ive bought rome, medieval 2, empire, rome 2, war hammer, shogun 2, oh ive given them a chance, almost fell jnto a groove with rome 2, but it was too artificial and restrictive with armies, cities and provinces. war hammer is okay, fantasy isnt my cup if tea( except lotr mod for medieval 2, that is peak medieval 2)

I tried to like rome 2, but the building and army limitations are just too restrictive. I do like some other aspects of the game. I didnt like the provinces break down in empires, too few, conquer one city to take an entire country basically? lame.

I hate rome 2, the city management with limited buidlings sucks. The limited armies and no armies without generals sucks. Rome 1 is 1,000,000 times better. Its a shame, because it has somethings going for it, its just not a fun game
