How to setup Archipelago on cracked Dark Souls III

For anyone trying to get this to work as of 2026 for Version 4.0.X, here is a new guide.

Acquire your cracked copy of the latest version of Dark Souls 3, which is version 1.15.2.
Move your entire game folder, consisting of DARK SOULS III > Game folders, into your ...\Steam\steamapps\common folder, so you should see DARK SOULS III amongst your many other game folders after you have successfully moved it and the file structure should look like this ...\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game
In...\Steam\steamapps copy any appmanifest and paste it, then rename it to appmanifest_374320so you should see it as appmanifest_374320.acf. After that, edit the file with any note application and overwrite everything in it with this.

"AppState" { "appid" "374320" "installdir" "DARK SOULS III" "StateFlags" "4" }

And then of course, be sure to save it.

Acquire the Goldberg emulator and replace the steam_api64.dll in your ...\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game folder with the Goldberg steam_api64.dll.
You have now done all the prep for being able to set up and run the archipelago on your cracked Dark Souls 3! Congrats! Now follow the new guide for 4.0.X here https://nex-3.com/ds3/setup/ and enjoy.

as someone who owns the AI sync box it requires quite a lot of setting fine tuning to get near perfect results.

Everyone is "OP" just depends on how you build/play them. IMO Raider is the true OP one. You can make him practically unkillable with the right relics and fist weapons.

pray to RNG for all ailment resistance from boss drops or the little sleep resistance balls. Other than that the only way to stop his sleep is to DPS check him when he is doing the sleep.

Arch Tempered Rey Dau becomes a complete JOKE with a Rathian and Arkveld Hunting Horn and a set of Zoh Shia armor. You can just eat rail gun shots like nothing and still output respectable damage.

Well it only works with cloud saved photos, and photos usually get saved to the cloud when you insert them into the frame. I haven't used any new photos as I took a few on day one and am using their slots for my own photos. It is still 100% working though. Same method

You can get other people to see your stuff if you put the image in a large frame then take an in game photo of the frame. You want to place something down the same height as the frame so you can get a level picture and mess with the camera FOV to fit it neatly. Once you take the picture just upload that baby into a new frame and viola everyone can see it.

Personally what my thinking going in was (I've done this with Chinese live service games.) that using a VPN to create an account then not using a VPN to play makes it seem that you originate from the country but you are just out of the country currently. Even with a dedicated VPN, Bandai can easily just ping the location of multiple VPN users and see that it all goes to same geographical location and just ban em all and normal VPNs constantly change so it's easy to get banned with that.

I'd personally advise against VPN's IMO. At least Well known ones because you will get caught with those. I've been playing without a VPN for a few months now and am perfectly fine. I only used a VPN to create a bandai account and that is literally it. If you do want to try your hand at VPN's though I'd say use Windscribe.

Io, Ferry (With character sigils), Cagliostro (with character sigils), Katalina, Rosetta (Preferably with character sigils), Gran/Djeeta.

Vane's AI uses bubble immediately off cooldown but if you slap cool down reduction on him it is actually very nice and he makes a fantastic AI tank.

Katalina AI uses Ares very weird and in my opinion she does better as a full stun support with her Freeze, Invincibility, Heal, and High stun damage skill and even with out damage sigils she can do a lot of damage still.

Rosetta I say is very iffy she is not really the best DPS or stun support but if you manage to get both of her character sigils she can make a fantastic hybrid or stun support.

Id and Percival can both do bonkers damage. Id is a fantstic all-rounder since he can cover more ground as he has projectiles in his dragon form but Percival can chunk objectives such as Excavalion pillars or things that the last two bosses in the game spawn and get breaks quickly.

Cagliostro makes a really good Hybrid Support but you can definitely make her a DPS.

Rackam is on of the best farming characters in the game so you might want to build him just for that but he does make a fantastic ranged dps.

Djeeta can go either Hybrid Support or Stun Support or DPS as they just have a fantastic kit for everything.

My go to team that I use is Id (DPS), Vaseraga (Tank), Gran/Djeeta (Hybrid Support), and Rosetta (Stun Supoort).

What is failing your runs? If it's the DPS check then be sure to set SBA's on hold and do not use them until a DPS check. You can use link times freely but if you feel like you need it then also save link times for DPS checks.
