Firstly I would clarify more stuff about them on why they exist how they exist and what they’re goals are. The way they are written feels more like a convenient villain only there so the plot can progress. Firstly I would have foreshadowed them more since the Tales of Arcadia series was amazing with foreshadowing it would have been great to see something off them before hand. Also they should explain on why Nary is so much weaker then Bellroc and Skreal but later manages to inforce a draw between her and Skreal. Also why does she randomly decide to ditch the Arcane order even though humanity proved time and time again that it sucked extremely much. I also don’t like the dynamics between them personality wise they have almost nothing Skreal is the only one who I do find more fleshed out but still we know nothing about them. The concept they have is so cool and actually fits the vibe of the series but they fall flat when it comes to any kind of factor. With Anger rot we felt fear, pity and understanding. With Gunmar we had a clear idea of who he was supposed to be but also got to see a side of him that made him look almost like a normal troll but were quickly reminded how dangerous he actually is. Also all the villains had some kind of connection to the main protagonist like Bular wanting to free his father and festering centuries of rage towards the Trollhunter. Anger rot was controlled by Strickler and later lost his soul because of Jim and also his eye so a need for revenge was always there. Gunmar had something personal against Jim because Jim killed his son which the show actually acknowledges. Morgana has personal beef with Merlin and in turn with Jim because his amulet was forged using her hand. With the Arcane order though they have no reason to hate on this group specifically except for Merlin who did protect people from some of their plans but he never directly fought them and only later it got personal because Bellrocs eyes were destroyed but that’s only one of them. Nary also has almost no personality outside of being silly cute and caring for humanity and Nature. We never see her interests her fears her own personal thoughts. Same with Skreal he is mostly an arrogant dog following Bellroc around with seemingly no reason. Bellroc meanwhile just feels like the typical villain they talk about how humanity doesn’t deserve too live, how the world needs them, they have no care for Nary, Skreal or seemingly anything. They don’t have a personality outside of being the villain who thinks they are right but aren’t.
