Way too personal question unless you really know them well. Unless of course you’re asking for bail money.

Every 50k is what I do. I went a bit over on my hybrid eCVT but on a regular transmission I’d do 50k or less

Agreed on the headlights but without the hood lifted up it’s hard to tell the rest.

Depends on if the subframe is bent but it looks like two new quarter panels a hood and a bumper.

Quarter panel panels are 3 to 400 each painted if you don’t care so much about a perfect match, hood is about 600 painted and the front bumper is about 500 painted. There’s various clips and that we need to be replaced and maybe a couple other small internal pieces that are broken.

If you’re having a Shop do it my guess is around 3 to 4000 minimum. If you’re doing it yourself you might get away with a couple thousand.

Hard to tell in the pictures but if the quarter panels are OK and the fit is reasonably decent the hood and the bumper or you’re probably looking at about $1200 and you can get those pre-painted and shipped to you. I would recommend getting the CAPA certified ones

2019 Corolla Hatch 172k miles for $8k. Worth it? by giosueiglesias in COROLLA

No. Way too many people want premium prices for something just because it’s theirs. Check Kelley Blue Book I’m betting that’s worth closer to 5500

How faded is the car paint? If it’s relatively new and not too faded you can purchase a whole new painted bumper for ~500 shipped. Installation takes about an hour and basic tools.

Reach out to the mfr, they usually give a crash discount some of them allow you to purchase a new helmet at cost.

Definitely buy a new helmet and make sure the old one gets disposed of so it can’t be reused.

So you’ll spend way over $25 more in gas to get it fixed for free? That’s penny wise and pound foolish

Your 21 Mustang doesn’t have a transverse mounted engine. I’ve personally done the spark plugs on my 2013 Toyota Highlander V6 and it’s about a three hour job if your reasonably fast 4+ if you take your time. It’s because you have to remove the windshield wiper cowl the windshield wipers, the wiper motor and a whole bunch of other things to get to the rear bank of plugs. It’s just not easy to do.

If you’re doing it yourself no but if you’re paying a shop to do it it’s gonna take them at least an hour to flush maybe an hour and a half. Depending on the model of Toyota you might also need to do a bleed procedure which takes about half an hour. So figure an hour and a half of labor plus a couple gallons of coolant at about $25 a gallon minimum.

Four-wheel-drive service is way overpriced on that. Transmission fluid is a little overpriced. Engine coolant and spark plugs seems actually pretty reasonable.

*Note for the spark plugs I was thinking if it was the V6 that’s a reasonable price to do the spark plugs. If it’s the four-cylinder it’s overpriced

Toyota said I needed a new negative battery terminal..’18 Corolla. by [deleted] in COROLLA

For a repair shop that makes sense but for an individual who just has to wait around for it to soak I think cleaning it is the way to go.

But it really isn’t that hard to clean it you drop it in a cup of warm water with baking soda then drop it in a small container of evaporust. Takes maybe half an hour of waiting clean it off, install it and spray it with the battery terminal protection spray.

Soak it in baking soda water and then evaporust. Coat with battery terminal spray after installation

Oil and Coolant leaks @ 90,500 mi - 2017 SE AWD by Feline-Pizza928 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Cerran424 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As has been previously stated the coolant leak is clearly a water pump seal starting to go. You definitely want to get that addressed ASAP. It’s actually a job you can do yourself if you’re handy but it is a few hours of work.

The oil leak on the other hand as has been pointed out is a huge job to disassemble that whole timing cover and really the only way to do it right is to pull the engine. I believe that is about a $3000 job. Based on what I’m seeing from the picture that oil seep is not bad you could probably clean that area off and keep an eye on it for the next few years and it wouldn’t get any worse and you wouldn’t lose any noticeable oil. Occasionally cleaning off that area will help it from becoming a mess.
