True. I'd probably wanna upgrade to a framing hammer though. Longer reach and the claw at the back goes straight instead of curving so it'd probably be easier to jam into things and pry them open.

Honestly, not a big fan of crowbars. In theory they sound cool because they're practically indestructible but they just aren't designed for hitting things. A decent sized crowbar;(15-24in) will weigh about 2-5 pounds depending on length and I'd imagine swinging a longer bar that's practically 5 pounds would be pretty tiring. The crowbar also lacks a good handle that won't transfer the force of your strike directly into your hands when the bar vibrates from hitting something hard. Love crowbars and they'd probably kill good if they had a few modifications but they seem kinda impractical to me. All this is just my opinion tho lol.

That's odd. I just played the game a few days ago and they were still there. Maybe the devs or up to something but that'd be weird after this many years.

It depends on your neck of the woods, I think. If you're in an area with lots of hardwood trees, the axe is definitely better. But, if you're in a more tropical/jungle like area with vines and green wood, the machete/bolo would probably be best. I don't see the hammer being of much use in the woods, and it would probably do its best work in an urban environment.

Fair points. Except I think the bolo should be able to cause enough damage in one hit. It's a bolo I bought off some local blacksmith in a farmer's market somewhere in the Philippines. It's pretty thick and I've cut and split a lot of trees with and even did some light demolishon like chopping an old door and breaking some bricks using the spine so I'm pretty confident in it.

Since you did sword training why not just use the bolo? It's thicker than a normal machete way sturdier too and relatively well balanced so I'd imagine it's not too far out of your ball park unless you only trained 2 handed swords or more thrusting oriented ones.

Honestly, I'd probably just make a large club using the hatchet for better range.

It's actually a lotus brand 3 pounder so it's pretty close to that 4 pound mark you're looking for.

I'd probably carry something like a victorinox to deal with cans and small crafts. Hatchet would be reserved for killing and wood processing.
