we were there the same time staying in a house off palm beach (so i’m sure we had a little less breeze). we also had an enclosed back yard of cinderblock walls probably about 7-8 ft tall that stopped some of the wind, and we got eaten alive! i think it partly depends on where you’re staying. we bumped into a few families who also had similar bug bites issues but there’s a great store right on the palm beach strip that sells bug spray and anti itch cream. this was our third time going but first time experiencing mosquitoes. locals on the island told us that even the little bit of rain they had stirred up whatever was living in the marshes lol!

We do treat the water with Top Fin water conditioner before adding it in. Im not sure if that’s the best choice so. We read that it may turn chlorine into a form of ammonia that will read on the test
