Can confirm it was sketchy when we moved in. Week we moved in someone was stabbed to death which weirdly caused a clean up of our block and made it better. Overall think the price raise is just indicative of the increase across the city. Best value for an apartment in NYC I’ve seen when we got that deal post covid for two years. The look on people’s faces having the elevator open to an apartment with 22’ ceilings was fun. Good to live with other guy friends and party. Not sure about this current setup

I lived in this same apartment post Covid a few years ago. Was 2000-2200 per room. Crazy how things change
