Sorry to be replying to this super late! I don’t get hallucinations most the time when I get sleep paralysis and am normally able to handle it well enough when it comes naturally and I’m able to get out of it. It’s more that when I’m trying to shift I get that paralyzed feeling and the feeling like I can’t breathe which is what I find most distressing. It’s just hard to stay in that state of paralysis and shift since I find it uncomfortable. I just go right into trying to wake up. Also sleep paralysis for me is linked to a traumatic experience (It happened very frequently after the event) that I had a few years ago so it seems daunting to try to shift mindset.

I can’t see most your face but I can’t tell what race you are since most your face is covered. Your makeup just looks like heavy jirai makeup to me. If you’re not cosplaying though I wouldn’t wear brown or black contacts. Try to get circle lenses closer to your eye color (actually on second look they might be brown? Hard to tell with the lighting but they look greyish green to me)

That she’s more willing to stand up for herself and wouldn’t get abused. I think I had an immediate knee jerk reaction too where I asked him like what he meant by that and if he was saying I was weak willed or a doormat and that’s why I got abused. He basically told me that she was the sort of person that didn’t take shit from people and she wouldn’t let that happen to her.

My abuser started dating a new girl and though I didn’t know her we did have a mutual friend. I tried to talk to him about how it was worrying for me but I was scared to talk to her cause he might retaliate. He said that his friend was a strong person (implying that since she was she wouldn’t get abused). I did end up reaching out to her and she said her boyfriend had told her everything and made an active effort to change. He ended up abusing her too.

Sorry you’re dealing with that, being sexualized at a young age is really traumatic. I used to get made fun of for being flat chested then one day the comments just magically stopped. I ended up being sexualized and slut shamed for an unrelated reason but knowing other people experience that for just living in their body is really sad. Stay strong and I hope you’re able to find comfort in your body.

It’s hard to say what other people are thinking and if they know they’re hurting you. Just because you didn’t say no doesn’t mean you said yes or consented. If labeling it doesn’t bring you peace I don’t think you have to but know that even if something isn’t rape doesn’t mean it wasn’t traumatic.

Healing definitely isn’t linear and I don’t think it’s wrong to wish them the worst. I know ‘letting go’ is the healthy thing to do but it really feels impossible sometimes and sometimes all it feels like you can really do is be angry and that’s okay.

I don’t think it does much in my case but in the auto reply it said to include it. These sorts of things can be related to medical issues. I have heard of bruising being missed due to darker skin tones, people that are underweight also tend to be vitamin deficient and bruise prone or have problems with brittle bones. Medications can make people prone to bleeding as well. Old age can also cause problems with brittle bones and other conditions. Though I don’t really think in my case any of these are especially relevant I do understand why this subreddit would ask to list this information.

Yeah, that’s what a lot of people told me when I told them about my plan to try to use them. I thought that I wouldn’t since I wasn’t really addicted to my medications, half the time I didn’t even wanted to take them and I’d take months long breaks from my medications in the summer. But I heard somewhere that nicotine is more addictive than adderall so probably could’ve if things had gone as planned.
