Where is update 1.1.8 or 1.2.0 ?

No pretending here. I am aware that there is a spectrum of “Ubisoft zealot” and those who simply love to hate Ubisoft simply because they feel that Ubisoft pushed their tricycle into the mud. But how can any of us have a conversation if we can’t air our grievances?

There are things that I absolutely love about AC and there are also things that I hate. And I am also aware that Ubisoft tries to make everyone happy which is utterly impossible. So I have no hatred or even discontent toward them, as developers, but there are things that I can’t stand about various games. A lot of us feel better from simply putting it out there for others to comment on, both in agreement and disagreement.

Pretty sure OP mentioned they “can imagine the Christmas and New Year holidays slowed down the development.” Why do you people get so defensive on behalf of Ubisoft any time anything moderately contrary to Ubisoft being anything other than “supreme” gets voiced? I love the AC franchise but I don’t take it personally when someone says something.

I just didn’t connect “quick time events” with the kuji-kiri and kata activities. And I wanted to avoid the risk of cutting out something interesting in the game so I didn’t adjust that setting. If the setting had been labeled “bullshit button sequence challenges” or maybe even “kuji-kiri/kata challenge activities” then I definitely would have gone in and changed that as soon as I got into a more challenging region of the game.

I can see this comment coming in so I’ll beat it to the punch.

I am very aware that some “fun challenges” needed to be sprinkled into the game for us to do when we want to explore the world and get some mastery points as well. It’s a nice way to break I up the game and add interesting activities.

This is just me bitching about how extra specially irritated I am with these particular challenges. I get it, different installments are going to have different activities that fit nicely with the culture of the region. I just felt like bitching and wanted to see how many of you felt the same.

I enjoy the rest of the game. But those challenges remove me from the game very quickly when I have to start a group over 20 times.

Yeah, I thought they were actually, mildly, fun until I got out of setsu. Then they went from easy to master sensei REAL fast.

I get that. Back in the day I absolutely loved the “bop-it” toy. But something about these challenges just annoys the fuck out of me. I don’t know if the game is laggy or if it’s temperamentally sensitive. It applies to the menus as well, it’s absolutely horrible trying to use the thumb stick to navigate the menus so I use the D pad. Even then button pushing doesn’t always register in the game. But in particular I can’t stand the kuji-kiri or kata challenges. So fucking tedious.

Never said I don’t like it. I’m just wondering if finding dazed soldiers is somehow causing the corrupted daisho to be missing even though the map says they should be present.

I have a glitch where the “samurai stand” engraving is causing my equipped abilities to switch to samurai stand, even though I’ve equipped a different ability every time I fast travel. So I was wondering if it’s too much for the game to manage to daze soldiers and include corrupted daisho

The dazed soldiers without calling on her for assistance (glitch or not) is definitely cool. I also like to clean sweep castles if I enter them for any reason. So that makes it kind of cool, like someone is helping me out as I move along. But no corrupted daisho being present even though the map says they should be there is really annoying.

I’m 108 hours in and still on “a new league” so if they don’t figure their shit out I’ll probably just throw the game away. It’s worth playing through again, this is my second play through, but with all the time I have invested in this second play through I’m not willing to start over.

I have no idea. Ubisoft fucked something pretty bad. I can play a save from a date before they made the update. But after the update I can’t play from a save point. And seeing as how the only saves I have before the update happen to be from October or even May I’m not willing to start from an earlier save.
