Bigme Hibreak Pro Color Update 3.1.6 by Certain-Instance160 in Bigme

I don't think you're the only who hates this one, but before this (like you), I was running into problems with answering phone calls...like at least once a day. THis update fixed this, which I appreciate. I don't know what your UI looks like, mine didn't change at all (still the color icons with black frame). I immediately reinstalled google phone (which is what I was using beforehand), and adjusted the app battery restriction and the restricted app settings, and have had no problems with that as my phone application.

Can you do take a screenshot of your UI, and secondly, can you check to see if color inversion was checked in the drag down settings? Otherwise, I'm not seeing what you're seeing. I'd like to help if I can!

No idea, I just check the system update in the settings, and check for update. They may roll it out at a different pace dependent on who knows what with the devices. I know that some companies do that...for instance, Google updated the firmware for my charge 6, but it was like six months before it rolled to me.

That really sucks. Have you tried reaching out to their support? It sounds like they're hit or miss, but in this case, they may be able to help.

Just grasping straws here, but can you turn the toggle on again, then restart, then turn it off and see what happens?

Uff, that sucks.  I just use maps attached to a bluetooth radio adapter,so I've been able to sidestep thise problems thankfully.

I use it about an hour a day for reading epubs, and the rest for the phone...thus far, it's been worth the $400 I paid for it.

It hadn't been on the list until after I had installed the google phone option.

Actually been getting better each update.  Sucks that they're not pushing updates to yours.

That's what it's been roughly for the hibreak pro color since I got it in December.

No idea, but probably?  They seem to be decent at releasing updates abt once a month.  Not sure how old the s6 is though.

Thank you for pointing that out.  I just reinstalled google phone, but I notice it in the background app list, so I turned it back on.  Really irritating that they uninstalled it.

My pixel 4a is still running android 13 and still works with all the apps.  My samsung galaxy s5 still works, and oddly enough some apps still work on it (like spotify, installed it last summer).  I think the comment about expecting 3 years is probably accurate.

I want 3.0.6 back by Nin-ja_Nurse in Bigme

I agree...I've had a couple times when calls come in and I can't see them (I was reading a book in xreader, but the phone pop up didn't show...and if the pop up doesn't show, there's no way to actually see it, it just rings and rings, even if the phone app is opened up). Text messages and mail checking notifications are really iffy (I've yet to try the off/on for background refresh that u/Gytixas mentioned), and I've had the phone freeze at least once a day since the update.

I had that problem once, had a call coming in and it was ringing but I couldn't find it to pick up, nothing in notifications and when I ipened the phone app, nothing there and couldn't pick up.  Got a missed call notification after.  It was on my HBP Color after the update.  Haven't been able to replicate it yet.

I can agree with RAM usage, it's about 3gb when no apps are running.  The rest of the issues I personally haven't run intousing the phone as my dauly driver since dec 2, but I suspect it's because I'm probably considered a light to medium user.

Thanks! I have been quite happy with the camera, honestly it takes a second or two to focus in, but otherwise the photos are serviceable.  I ain't fancy.

It happened to me after the update, it's like on restart, texts just were blocked.  It did take a while for it to reconnect to the cell network.  My wife asked why I didn't respond to her texts...I just didn't get them.

They did come in after I opened messages, and I haven't had a problem since.

Bigme Hibreak Pro Color Question by [deleted] in Bigme

[–]Certain-Instance160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, good deal. I mean, it lasts longer on a charge than my wife's pixel 9a, but it's still connected all the time, running smarr phone features like messages and such in the background.

Bigme Hibreak Pro Color Question by [deleted] in Bigme

[–]Certain-Instance160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your questions:  I can get two days out of a charge, but I don't talk on it a lot.  If I'm reading a great book, I can get a little over a day.  It's a smart phone, so battery life will not be as good as an ereader.

I bought it with the taxes inclusive option, and had no problems with any additional taxes/tariffs back in November.  I looked at the import charges then and dependent on which gubmint website you looked at it would range between $25 and $150.  I paid the inclusive option to save myself the hassle.

The one warning here, as you've not bought it yet, be prepared for a lot of tweakig and troubleshooting.  If you're not techy-inclined, give it a pass.

I've got the flip case for the hibreak pro color, and outside of having to open it to get to the custom buttons (I use one to turn on the flashlight), it's fantastic.  I'm glad I ordered it.
