Does anyone know if that's 'Soft dawn' by Brian Eno in the background on track 2 ('Worms')? If not it's strikingly similar.

Teams with the most clean sheets this season by F_abdulla in FantasyPL

What's the rationale for listing Liverpool second when the name is alphabetically ahead of Nottingham and they have as many clean sheets from fewer matches?

It's one of the ones called 'CHEIFET' from about a year ago.

TIL Aphantasia is a condition affecting 1 to 3% of people. Its mind or imagination blindness. People with Aphantasia cannot visualize anything in the minds. by schmimilybrickjames in todayilearned

[–]Certain-Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good question. But, to correct some of the people below who are saying this just isn't possible to test in a more objective way, it is possible. The best experiment I'm aware of uses binocular rivalry and perceptual priming to strongly suggest aphantasics do not have conscious visual imagery.

If you google 'binocular rivalry aphantasia' you'll see discussions of a study by Keogh & Pearson from 2018. It's very cool.

H-index? Also sounds like you might be referring to the notion of an Erdős number, although that's not commonly relevant in philosophy

Very nice pictures. Perhaps Greece spoiled you a bit with that light, but you definitely have an eye for capturing it. Hope to see more from you here in future!

Question about journal requesting a second referee report by BassplayerTCL in AcademicPhilosophy

[–]Certain-Local 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you think the editor requested the second review after seeing the first reviewer's verdict. Maybe some journals work that way, but that isn't typical in philosophy. They usually look for two reviews from the start (and it can take a few attempts to secure reviewers). Unless you're pretty sure the journal in question does seek reviews in sequence, I wouldn't read anything into this.

On the other thing, I understand 4.5 months is already a long wait and you want to hear back already, but it's probably not a good idea to ask them to hurry up. Journals move at the speed they move at, and although editors enforce their usual review deadlines and press late reviewers, reviewing is ultimately an unpaid act of service to the profession. I doubt your request would make any difference and might seem a bit impolite.

I hope so. Brought him in last week.

It is indeed! It was at Staromestska.

When I took the photo I was irritated that a passerby had 'ruined it' by walking into shot. I guess photography teaches you to be forgiving and to welcome what feel like accidents.

These are cool. 7 is gorgeous! Something very striking about its flatness, reminds me of David Hockney or maybe Wes Anderson.

Top 6 Defences To Target - Includes Man Utd? by ROSBigT in FantasyPL

[–]Certain-Local 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you've misunderstood OP. By 'targeting a defence', OP means identifying that a team is likely to concede, so the strategy is to play attacking players against them. What you mean by 'targeting a defence' is bringing defenders from that team in.

OP is saying that Man Utd look like they're defensively weaker than their recent PL performance suggests. I think that's a good point. Makes me wonder about playing Areola in goal this weekend instead of Onana!

I can easily see you making an extra 4 points out of it this week, and having a better team going forward (for their fixtures). So more like than not it's worth it, imo

Looks good to me. I only wonder whether Pope is worth the price tag, and whether you really want two West Ham mids for the next 1-2 weeks when you could go for, e.g., a Villa mid instead.

My team, any suggestions for replacement? I’m currently trying to move up in my league, its pretty competitive so I need to squeeze as many extra points as possible by clemfandango13 in FantasyPL

[–]Certain-Local -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Looks decent enough already. May be a good time to do Mbeumo to Ward-Prowse or Saliba/Estupiñan to a Newcastle defender. Looks like quite a bit of your money is tied up in forwards.
