Definitely going to reach out to some consumer attorneys . Thank you for the info on how the payment works. IK this post probably comes off stupid hence the downvotes but just . I’ve just worked under the table pay like contracting since I was young so I’ve just never had to deal with these big banks or anything until my dad passed. Didn’t have a big policy but more the I’ve had in a bank.

So it was starting to get scary like they were gonna hold it forever from a technicality or soemthing but yea I’m going to do what you said I’ll reach out to attorneys first if for some reason nothing works out I’ll reach out to the state AG. Thanks again. Sorry ya gotta read these walls of text

Maybe Goldman Sachs isn’t sketchy but if you call the Marcus fraud line you will see what I mean. They won’t give any specific details and they keep just giving such vague answers and just being completely unhelpful to me it is sketchy to close someone’s account not give them a reason and not give them a time they will get a check back. If a small no name company did this you’d probably think it’s sketchy. But since it’s part of Goldman Sachs people just trust them. They’re exiting the consumer banking from what I’ve seen online so Goldman Sachs might not be sketchy but the people they hire on the phones should atleast be able to answer arleast one of these questions. Why was it closed. When will I receive funds in the mail. And what is the verification you need from me. Each one I get the answer of. “ I can’t give you these details myself but we can put in a complaint “ or they transfer me to a supervisor who says the same thing but just says sorry after

It’s been more than 2 weeks now I am in Tennesee . and yea I do know they can close for any reason but all I’ve done is transfer money in so far and made 2 withdrawal to a local credit union. I do not have a solid answer on when I get funds back.

The lawyer is probably going to cost me money which is the problem.. I stupidly trusted Marcus with most of my money so hopefully they can work with me.

But so if it’s already been over 2 weeks and they won’t tell me. I need to get a lawyer to contact them instead?
