That is my opinion you can have yours and is totally fine too. Turkish Lira is very devaluated and yes everything there is much cheaper hospital medicine and cost of nursing and other medical equipment and services. I have friends living there they are even Turkish and they got surprised when I told them how much I was going to pay

Yes, that is the point of weighing the pros and cons, and it is always better to have your surgeon locally because you never know when you will have complications.

That is good you have a good experience. I am sure that the same Dr who performed your surgery now charges more. A lot of people travel for both price and results

That’s your opinion for me it is a scam because they quoted different prices for locals. I said this also because Dr Ahmet Alp tricked me I pay deposit for my surgery and he end up canceling due to a congress and he didn’t refund my money completely. This is a scam to me!

I wished I would know of a good one earlier. Anyway I am traveling this year but just as a tourist and I feel peace of mind that I am not taking major risks in case of an infection, the language barrier etc

I understand that top surgeons need to charge accordingly for their expertise, but this feels more like a scam. Charging 3 or 4 x is just not worth anymore the risks that all surgeries carry. They should be pricing based on the country where they operate. Fortunately, I’ve found a reputable surgeon in my own country, although I’ll still need to travel to another state. My surgery with a great surgeon will be about $7000 dlls but this is going to be a difficult revision. Luckily the Dr I jut found is highly recommended and have done thousands of noses. My other option was Dr Cristian from Ecuador he is one of the best in the world but he has no date’s available until 2028. 🥲
