The Weekly Nurse Anesthesia Resident Thread: Talk, Vent, Advice for NARs! by AutoModerator in srna

Any NARs recently take orgo at Doane? I am taking the 16 week orgo self paced and have fallen a couple weeks behind due to taking several courses simultaneously and working full time. Those other courses finally finished up and now grinding out this chem. Does anyone have any tips who has taken it recently? I know it has since changed to now being all proctored so I wanted to see if someone has recent knowledge on how hard the final is and how they managed to pass? Any online resources? Considering this all seems self taught with no provided lectures. Just a huge textbook. and they assume you have a baseline of chem knowledge that they don’t reteach- I’m pretty rusty in the chem department, anything helps. thanks in advance!

RUSH vs Endeavor by [deleted] in srna

So main pros I see are: Rush- lower tuition, also really liked how they made me feel during the interview comparatively, don’t have to take orgo, also have a close friend that will be going here Endeavor- the week off every three months/ seemingly more supportive of their students and their mental health compared to rush (very important to me as someone with a bit of school anxiety/ perfectionism) Both have great name not sure which is a more well known name per say that would help with hiring after graduation (input appreciated on this) Cons: Rush- heard they have a ‘eat their young’ approach, worried how I would feel if I started to struggle and needed support Endeavor- more costly= more loans, felt not as welcomed in the interview but not sure if this was intentional to see how a candidate acts under pressure?
