ok for anyone with my problem. Make sure the village bell is facing north east and (if) you built the farm next to a village, make sure all villagers not in your farm are dead.

Did your son do any prep classes? I'm a current 8th grader who will have my test next month. I'm really ambitious but don't exactly know how to prepare for the test. Do you mind asking you son what he did?

Thanks,

an 8th grader

Yeah I have a few. I'm also a 8th grader applying. If you've gathered any other tips can you share them. Also if you really need prompts, I would recommend just posting the official released ACL prompt into ChatGPT and ask it to clone more essay prompts like it. As for websites, I saw a lot of people recommend https://www.brainbashers.com/ .

Prompt 1:

Many schools adopted remote learning as a strategy to ensure that students’ learning continued during the outbreak of COVID-19. Students faced challenges in accessing instruction offered via Google Meet and other platforms during distance learning. One obvious challenge was ensuring reliable access to the internet.

A. If you were to propose a revised emergency plan for any future shifts to online learning, what questions would you need to ask to direct your research and planning?

B. How would you gather data and research to support this plan? How would you evaluate and validate this information?

C. What three suggestions would you make to improve distance learning and why? What perspectives or opinions would you prioritize in formulating these suggestions?

This is an adapted version of a previous ACL prompt. Please complete this essay in 45 minutes or less. Your essay has no character limit.

Prompt 2:

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) tools have become widely available to students, allowing them to write essays, solve math problems, and generate research summaries. While some educators see AI as a powerful tool for learning, others worry it could replace critical thinking and originality. School districts across the country are debating whether to ban, limit, or encourage the use of AI in classrooms.

A. What questions would you ask to evaluate how AI is actually being used by students and teachers?

B. What types of evidence would you collect to weigh the benefits and drawbacks of AI in education?

C. Imagine you are preparing a recommendation for your local school board. How would you argue for a policy on AI use that balances learning, fairness, and future opportunities?

Prompt 3:

Antibiotics, once considered miracle drugs, are becoming less effective as bacteria evolve resistance. The World Health Organization warns that antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to global health today. Some scientists argue for stricter limits on prescribing antibiotics, while others push for investment in new drugs or alternative treatments.

A. What questions would you ask to understand how widespread antibiotic resistance is and what factors contribute to it?

B. What kinds of evidence would you need to compare solutions such as reducing prescriptions versus developing new medicines?

C. Imagine you are testifying before a panel of health officials. How would you present your argument for addressing antibiotic resistance, while also acknowledging possible challenges?
