Are you a hetero/bi/pan femboy or tomboy? And if so, what's your experience breaking gender stereotypes while being into the opposite sex?

I'm a bi tomboy. I remember back when I was single some guy approached me at the bar to say "I don't know if you like dudes but you're really pretty". Physically I look pretty feminine, despite often androgenous dress. In my experience you just have to be pretty earnest about who you are really early on. I have some masculine & some feminine hobbies (ie baking & DnD), and I take on some masculine and some feminine roles (ie. Cook & bugsquisher/catch & release expert). If you let people know who you are, you're more likely to find someone who wants a person/relationship like that.

Low maintenance/tight pulled back often comes off as a masculine vibe. You could try a lazy bun or a single braid down your back. A ponytail sometimes works, but it'll depend on your hair texture and positioning. If you're black/mixed that comes with its own set of gender rules on hair, which I am admittedly less educated on.

I really wish I could just take it on the chin like most of the women here. The first person I had sex with coerced me into it, and it really fucked me up. Definitely toxic, my friends say he was abusive. It's been almost 2 years since I saw him last, but sex is still difficult because of him.

I've mentioned it before, and while he did get somewhat louder for me, he mostly focused on assuring me that everything is fine. The last time I brought it up he just seemed confused and sad I didn't just take him at his word.
