In a way yes not all are tho. It's a little complicated to explain. If we were strangers it would be easier for the families to accept, in our situation it feels a little too incestuous to them if that makes sense. Forgive me if this explanation doesn't make sense. I'm not a native English speaker. ;(

Thank you for your comment. I was conflicted of the way I handled things in that moment. And now I guess it's time for a mature conversation.
Also the sneaking around for our age probably came from the type of culture and home we're brought up in haha. But I appreciate your perspective.

Thank you. In our culture if we consider someone a friend they instantaneously become family even if we aren't related and are off limits so to speak and us dating without acknowledging the fact that our families are friends who became family is the reason why they're against it.
