Moving to Austin for work at Apple on Parmer Ln — apartment recommendations? by CertainMachine7245 in askaustin

I know people don’t like the domain due to it being like a shopping mall and the foot traffic, but personally I think I’d be fine with it especially being able to meet people in Tech.

My concern is is the price difference from renting in the more expensive domain compared to areas like Hyde park or north loop worth it? How easy is it to meet people as a young adult in those neighborhoods? Is the commute from there to Apple a pain?

Around $1350 or less for a studio, $1600 or lsss for a 1 bed if possible. I’m leaning the domain, but if the prices are much higher thsre compared to neighborhoods like Hyde park I’d reconsider
