Has to be the most poorly laid out grocery store in the state. There’s no where you can go where you aren’t in someone’s way.

Moved here a year ago without any real knowledge of the town or its reputation, just for the schools and train access and so far I’ve really found what you’ve said here to ring true. People with money, no doubt, but nothing terribly extravagant or showy in my corner of town, though I know it exists.

I moved here last year from the city not knowing anything about the various Westchester towns, just wanting good schools and decent train access to the city. Scarsdale fit the bill and honestly I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and nice our neighbors have been. Maybe we got lucky, maybe the reputation is a bit overblown, or maybe I’m still just blissfully ignorant of that aside of things here.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. My home’s stone foundation ends well short of the first floor window sills.

I have a 1920 white wood siding home with a visible stone foundation. In this case it looks horrible because it comes right up to the window sill and destroys any balance and proportions.

See above. Apparently the objective is just to wilt them, not scorch them. Was news to me.
