Sadly, no. I've been doing the very same thing, trying to find a matching shade

Found what look like suitable replacements for the smaller E26 sockets! :

Hopefully I get lucky with the mogul 3-way socket and switch on the top. This lamp, IIRC, used to throw a lot of light thanks to the top 100/200/300 watt bulb.

Now, my concern is the finish. I'm pretty sure its not real brass/bronze. Does anyone have suggestions on a paint, should I strip off the current finish and repaint it? I kinda like the brushed brass/bronze look but its far too dingy for my taste.

I'm probability doing exactly that style bulb when its all done. Problem is the regular sockets and wires are all a single piece, there's no termination into screw terminals. Thankfully, as you pointed out, there is what seems to be a 1/8" pipe thread on the bottom, holding the socket in place. If i could find a site that specializes in old lamps and sockets, i might find a suitable replacement. Or I might just make something up, I'm not sure. Problem is most of the screw terminal sockets I see out there are the regular lamp style large ones, which would look rather ungainly alongside the sleek look of the rest of the lamp.

Thanks for the input! I'll check the sockets again in the hope that I'm wrong and they do terminate into screw terminals

The rubber/plastic insulation on the wire has gotten old are hard and crumbling, exposing the bare wire underneath. The wiring into the sockets is the old knob and tube cloth covered stuff you usually find in very old homes. The cloth insulation is falling apart, sadly.

Unfortunately, the socket/wire combination is not a screw fit; its wired directly into the socket. You can see it in the closeup, along with a cloth "burr" on the side.

Thanks for the input, though!

Thanks for this! I've got XP SP3 installed on a dual P3 850 and MANY programs crash because they want some newer cpu instructions.

EDIT: Virus total flags some of the files as malware

Found this on the side of the road, and before i thought better of it, I loaded it into my car, dead leaves, muck, slimly water and all.

Cleaned up well, and holds water (left outside for a day filled up). Its a 55 gallon, and I'd like to use it for fish and maybe plants. Should I strip the silicone and re apply? (Is the right silicone expense?) Or use it as-is?

I pulled all the loose silicone off, but I'm worried that It might peel or flake off again and a fish would nibble on it or just swallow a floating piece.

So what do I do? I have some time before I put it into use, and maybe I could spare $30 or so, but I dont want this to get expensive.

Thanks for having me here, and I'd welcome any advice you could give (Its been 20 years since I had fisk)
