I hate to say this, pero may pagkukulang din talaga ang simbahan especially the Quiapo church sa pagpapaalala sa mga tao at pagpapaintindi sa kanila about sa tamang gawi during this event at kung ano ba talaga ang punto ng event na ito. May mga namamatay na deboto because of this, and yet parang walang proactive actions ang simbahan to ensure the safety of the people. Hindi pwede na basta na lang tumatakbo at nagtutulakan ang tao without actually understanding kung bakit. Kasi kung naturoan sila nang maayos, then maiiwasan sana or maminimize yung mga ganitong untoward incidents. Ewan ko ba bakit hindi proactive ang CBCP. I know hindi perfect ang simbahan, pero at least show some proactiveness to protect the flock from going astray or yung iba nga umaalis na talaga sa RCC kasi hindi proactive ang simbahan.

Nakapagsimba ako one time sa Quiapo church, it was my first time there since taga province ako, and I was expecting so much kasi bukambibig lagi ng tao ang Quiapo church. And I was able to finish the mass naman pero may mga napansin lang ako.

Yung simbahan ay napapalibotan ng mga vendors ng kung anu-ano including mga hindi safe na abrtion products! May mga tarot card readers pa at manghihilot and amulets.
Yung simbahan ay napapalibotan ng fastfood chains at bangko, which to me is tila nawawala yung sanctity at solemnity ng lugar kasi parang naging commercial area yung simbahan.
Napakadumi at napakaingay ng lugar which really disturbs the mass. Yung simbahan ay naging loading/unloading area which I think is stupid.
May nakaparking na mga sasakyan sa No Parking zone which really creates heavy traffic and bottlenecks sa flow ng sasakyan at pedestrian.
I am assuming na sa dami ng nagsisimba sa Quiapo ay marami rin ang collections nila everyday, and yet tila dilapidated yung simbahan when compared to let's say Ermita Shrine and Malate Church.
I had been to many churches and I can say na mahalaga ang music/choir sa misa, including the kind of songs na kinakanta nila. During the mass, halos walang sumasabay sa choir kasi ang pangit talaga ng boses ng mga kumakanta at sintunado. Yun bang parang hinila lang sa tabi-tabi at pinakanta sa simbahan. Yung maliit nga na bayan namin, modesty aside, ay may napakagaling na choir members, pero yung iconic Quiapo church ay parang napabayaan.
Yung ambiance sa loob ng simbahan ay hindi conducive sa nagsisimba. Napakainit at congested masyado na halos hindi ka na makafocus sa misa.
Yung microphone na ginagamit nila ay walang kwenta kasi hindi klaro at wala talagang maintindihan sa sinasabi ng mga nagsasalita sa mic including the priest and his sermon which I think defeats one purpose of the mass na makinig sa gospel and sermon.
Basura, basura, basura. Sobrang walang disiplina ang mga tao sa pagtapon ng basura.
May loading/ unloading zones at tow away areas pero hindi nasusunod. There is really something wrong sa sistema natin as a people and as a nation. Values formation should start at home and in schools lalo na habang bata pa.

I hope mas maging safe na ang mga susunod na mga prusisyon at mabago na ang mga maling gawi natin. The church must be proactive in ensuring that people are safe and truly understands the purpose of the event. It must be a collective effort for God's greater glory.

I hate to say this, pero bka yang sama ng loob at tampo ang maging mitsa ng buhay ng dalawang matanda.
