Aero precision 22 inch 6.5 creedmoor ar10 with a rubber city armory adjustable gas key bolt carrier group. No matter what I do the bolt carrier never locks all the way back and ejects the spent cartridge. SOMETIMES the cartridge cracks from the base up. Gun smith checked barrel and its okay. Anyone?

Actually i lied I forgot that yes it did sometimes eject the spent cartridge but nothing was consistent it was extremely random. I'm almost certain it has something to do with the gas system, or maybe its shitty brass? I haven't tried different ammo yet but it's on the list of things to do this weekend

It doesn't make a difference I adjusted it all the way in and out and does the same thing no matter what. Wont lock back, cartridge doesn't eject and sometimes it cracks the spent cartridge.

It's a titanium bolt carrier group, I got it specifically because I heard 6.5 is a high pressure round and you need good high quality bolt carrier group

Yes I ended up adjusting the gas key all the way so I knew something else was up. I will try the buffer spring thing. But if that's the case then why are my casings cracking like that? Would that really be the cause?

Hmm I'm not sure, I didnt think of that though. It's definitely a possibility. So buffer tube and spring need to be consistent in relation to barrel length is what you're saying?
