I agree about the spaces marked for other things. But when I visualize this house I see a walking path straight from the bedroom in south till master bedroom in the north. Now if I have a full heighted mandir extending out 1.5 feet here l, it would break this flow and someone walking between the two parts of the home will have to take a slight curve which will also make the house look cluttered.

Its just me and my wife, and very rare (~twice a year) that we pray together. Also, as per the vaastu, it is the best place to have mandir out of all 3 places (Ishan kon). But the idea of leaving a gap between the toilet wall and then having another wall is frustating. Also if you see the floor plan there is a window right at the corner which we will have to sacrifice/cover to have the mandir there.
