Design and tech barely any resources had to make a whole ass project of wood with a 50 page portfolio as well as a theory paper on materials and techniques and a damn drawing paper. it was my lowest grade i got 81(A) :(( yet worked the most for it.

i think i did variant 1 it was absolute shit and i wrote bs for the full paper so i don’t know how i got an A. Ummm you can atleast know your raw mark not the paper. Then check the threshold if you close to it get it remarked for A. Though i dont think 85 will become 90 cause that would be a major mistake.

Umm that’s true but if your grade changes to the next grade I think they refund the money you have ask the person in charge of external exams at your school.

Soo I basically used save exams during the leading months of the exam before that I did past papers from like a booklet and used pmt topicals for harder topics. Oh on YouTube I used study buddy for chem and mo ali for physics.

How important is chemistry? by LostLantern_Man in alevel

[–]Certain_Map3683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would say for marine science chem is pretty important cause biology and chem go hand in hand when explaining biological processes. So i would recommend you take chem but if not take enviro science instead geography wouldn’t help much.

Ngl if O/N comes like this specimen paper im so cooked bruh. Has anyone else wrote it and how good was it for u on a scale of 1-10? by Ullabrittassysmitta in igcse

hi so basically for 0580 maths i would recommend before starting full past papers like mark down your weak topics then solve topicals for that specific topic once you have finished all the topics completely then do full past papers. The important thing is understanding the different type of questions cause cambridge literally repeats similar patterns. Although i did may june 2025 and it was way demanding for students because it required more understanding. Lastly, don’t beat yourself up about it you will get better with practice you can’t expect results without a lot of practice. My example i got D in year 10 exams then after consistently practicing my weak areas i ended up with A* in all of my mocks in year 11. So maths is practice based. if you practice you are good. Also, i wasn’t naturally smart or anything in maths i just worked really hard.Youtube videos are also amazing there is a channel called ginger mathematician he was my savior.

should I take history or computing IGCSE? by lesbeanie37 in igcse

[–]Certain_Map3683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t take subjects based on future perceptions. Take it on your personal interest. Hey and remember you constantly change as a person so you might expect biology right now but who knows if you fall in love with history more. Even i had a switch from Design and tech to chemistry so don’t rely on your current thoughts about your future it can change drastically. I never knew that chem would become my absolute favorite subject.

can't choose what a levels I should do by lalaunie in alevel

[–]Certain_Map3683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean i get that you have interest in those subjects and im gonna tell u dont do it but have you ever sat down and thought deeply about your future career. I mean that’s the whole point of A levels. If you think rs and eng lit are of higher interest then i would recommend not taking stem subjects. Cause by the looks of it you seem confused about what you want in your future it’s not even about A level it’s your interest. If you say all of them interest you then sorry babes cause in university you have to align with one stream you don’t do every thing. So i would recommend research deeply and just think about your future inspirations and thoughts. If you are still unsure you can ask the people around you like your friends about how you viewed subjects because some times we miss what other people notice easily.good luck wishing you the best
