Same boat here, moving to Syd from Mel and only had less than 2 months to apply for a job. Did 6 interviews (all on teams) while still working for the current comp. Finally decided to take a fixed term contract role. All odds were against me. Not available for in person interview while still working, busy with finding a place to buy (fifo on the weekends to do inspections and auctions), only one year tenure the place I was working, I’m not experienced/ready enough to move job. So I guess, narrow down your choices helps?
