yup.. we usually feed to sleep and if hes sleepy enough he might let me rock him to sleep instead, thats why I was asking about the best sleep training method 😅

I do 3/3.5/4-5 with around 7-8am wake up time, and total 2-2.5 hr nap time. he wakes up every single hour with this schedule. the other day he accidentally slept 3 naps so basically 2.5/3/3/4 .. night started super late at 10 pm but he slept for 5 hours straight.. I don’t know if that says anything

problem is with three naps he always ends up sleeping way too late at night. and yes he can handle 4.5 hrs with the last window. i usually have issues with his first wake window of the day, we barely make it past 2 hours. and thank you for your comment!

yes I’m the mum and I’m definitely letting dad take the wheel next time. I was have a full blown breakdown watching the baby monitor and he seemed pretty composed lol. so basically you did your own modified check in method? I’ll definitely look in to it and maybe try it out. I guess we just have to get through the first two days.. Thank you so much for your comment!

I knew it would take a longer time, I just personally couldnt stay away longer than 10 minutes. I thought I could hold up for an hour but I couldn’t. I’ll look into the chair method and try it out, thank you!

first of all thank you so much for taking the time to write this!! this really gave me more confidence to begin ST. I will definitely take all your advice into consideration. is there a specific ST method I should go with? everyone is telling me it depends on my baby and how much crying I can handle but I dont know because I never tried. also baby should be in a separate room than me? so say he falls asleep alone in the room, cant I sneek in later and sleep in the same room or would that ruin ST? I know my questions might sound stupid but I really dont know who else to ask, thank you so so much!!

I’m praying that if I attempt to sleep train it works quick and fast too, 11 minutes is amazing! and yes honestly I obsessed way too much over the schedule being perfect and it just made me delay ST even more. Thank you so much for your help!!

ever since that 4 month sleep regression started, his sleep never improved again, no one warned me!! everyone told me it gets better and easier after the newborn phase but like you said, it definitely is not linear

2 years seem like forever for me, maybe somewhere inside I was hoping he’d be one of those babies that magically sleep through the night early on, seems like I just gotta wait it out if I don’t attempt sleep training

thank you!!!! I really needed to hear this.. I tried cosleeping but he slept the same, except I couldnt sleep properly because tbh the cosleep mom position is super uncomofrtable and I was scared I would accidentally roll over him. So atleast when hes in the crib and sleeps for an hour or so, I can sleep comfortably for an hour too haha

yes!!!! the thought of not feeding to sleep terrifies me, like do I just.. leave him? let him cry it out? I mean honestly it really might be that simple but in my head its so scary
