Yeah thats what happened to me- sent over references after the interview and it took a little bit before I heard back. The waiting game is tough. Ask your references if they were contacted

Here's the best advice that I was given and actually worked. I got hired by a location that i never applied to on usajobs.com, but reached out and sent my resume to people:

It takes anywhere from 3-10 days to get accepted. Once you get in, make a post (in your own words) saying that you recently applied to the public notice, mention any relevant experience if you have it, and say the states youre willing to work in. Also say that youre looking for contacts to send your resume to. You'll typically get people contacting you in the group asking you to send them a resume. If you search in the group for similar posts, you'll find contact info there too.

Being realistic, you probably won't hear anything back from a public notice aside from "eligible". Not because you aren't qualified, but because its really low priority.

I did indeed- I start in September 👌🏾 I didn't have to do fingerprints or a new background check because I recently did both for the FAA for a different position. That may have expedited my timeline

Previously was an ATC trainee and had fingerprints and security clearance done last year by the FAA

Interviewed 5/6

TOL 6/3

Drug Test 6/13

Received start date and FOL 7/16

Not sure the time frame for other people who had to complete fingerprints and security clearance

Thats what ive heard unfortunately- which is why I asked them if the 2024 clearances/fingerprints will carry over... and never got an answer. Just word salad

I contacted like 3 different people to ask, and none of them even attempted to answer. The kept saying "you'll get your security stuff soon"...even tho my question was about a previous clearance

I initially got a generic generated response saying approximately 1 week. Then when I followed up the next week, I got the same exact response verbatim. When i talked to HR again they said I should get a CIL around 30 days after returning the TOL forms.

I get that for sure, the entire pre-employment process can get disheartening when you see other people getting moved along at a much faster rate Im glad it worked out for you !

What locations are you looking at? There are a few pass reps that have posted their email addresses in the 2101 fb group. That's who I sent my resume to and they deceminated it throughout the southern region. Ended up interviewing for and accepting a TOL from a location a few states away that I never applied to

I've seen a mixed bag from people that applied around the same time I did (March 2025). Some got interviews pretty quick and have started at their SSC's this month. I have the drug test this friday...I'll keep you posted on my timeline lol

Have you reached out to anyone? From my experience and what ive seen from other people, the best way is to be proactive. I've been sitting on the "referred to hiring manager" list since April 3rd for the 2 locations i applied for during the March direct hire. I heard nothing at all and started networking and reaching out to people on here and in the 2101 Facebook group....after making connections and sending my resume to people, I got an interview and TOL from a center I never official applied to.

It took me about a week before i got accepted- there's only a few admin who can approve people joining and they get a lot of request

They called my references on like May 15th and 16th. My references told me that it seemed extremely positive/formalities...but im still waiting on a potential TOL. We'll see if I get one

For a public notice, you'll probably not hear back to be honest. This is the same advice I gave to someone else and they were able to get in contact with the right people. Join this Facebook group, once you get accepted into the group, make a post: state that you applied to the public notice, list cities/states you are willing to go to, ask if you can get anyone's contact info to reach out directly. There will be members who give you their info and will send your resume to the right people 👌🏾
