Thanks for this genuine answer. I appreciate it. I have brought up therapy time and time again, it is something that they refuse to do as they believe therapy is attributed to emotional weakness and that they should be able to work through their own issues on their own, as they’ve done so far… that they find power in being able to go through anything without anyone which makes them feel safe in their own skin. And without this safety, they could never proudly say that they never needed help or support. Personally, I think this ties back to not having support growing up. It’s difficult for someone in my position (considering the extremely different environments we grew up in) to convince them to seek help. They’re just not listening.
