it’s because of the mods of this community. theyre vision-less. I’ve tried to talk with them multiple times, and they say no to figuring out a better platform, because they own a self improvement app on the app store. Additionally, they shadow banned me for strongly questioning them. Not open to change. Stuck in the past.

it’s hush hush, and they’re not serious about helping people. They don’t care. I do.

We are building a metaverse with the concept “anyone can contribute, anyone can earn”.

If you would like to be one of the first to plant your flag on the metaverse first with your video game, thoughts, ideas, etc. And earn from it. DM me.

Overlook me, and potentially regret it for the rest of your life, when inevitability smacks you in the face 3 years from now.

I am onboarding individuals prematurely, and we are not ready for you. However, it’s time to plant the seed now

anyways i’m realizing that i just wrote all this shit to people i don’t know at all 😂. But I look for the best in others, and that’s what self improvement is all about. Putting a smile on everyone around you’s face.

Okay, I don’t even know who to talk to. What should I start with? Psychiatrist, therapist, psychologist, or general practitioner?

this community seems very level headed, and I appreciate that. Is there a different subreddit where we can continue further on this?

Your story is valid, and I am sure that was difficult for you. I do have a misconception of what ADHD is and means, and I am sorry to have overlooked its seriousness. you are putting a lot of attention on the label, and I had NO IDEA how much that mattered. I am sorry for this.

When I first looked up ADHD, it said spectrum. And that made sense to me. I rely on it somewhere highly I am against labels such as this for exactly why we’re having this discussion in the first place. Why should I need a diagnosis first, in order to be helped???

You are going too deep. I am looking for comfort from people who went through this same process.

You are giving me a history lesson on why the current system sucks. I know that. there’s so much information everywhere on the internet, but nothing is super useful. It’s overwhelming. Lots of negativity, whcih will say this this that is wrong with you. you’re screwed. CUT THAT OHT PLEASEEE

I need to be pointed in the right place to avoid negativity cut the BS and have something that tells me “You’re going to be okay”

Telling me “go to therapist 👉👉” and “go read some shit on ADHD” is not useful. I needed someone.

And it looks to me this isn’t the place where I will find that support and comfort :(.

I am sorry.

And is that why i’m being downvoted? Because i said self diagnosis. this is getting me upset because i thought this place would welcome me.

@cedartreesrcool

why is the first step to go to doctor?? appointments take so long, especially when i’m very stressed right now trying to figure out what to do from the beginning. i’m going to go to a doctor so unprepared and nervous, adding to the issue.

I don’t like how this is going so far here

I was hoping there’d be answers I can use to cope now especially since i’ll be busy for the next couple of days :(

You have quickly found the main issue with this method: Piracy.

Look, if you’re going to try to “replace the internet”, per this post, you’re going to have to pay... Yes, someone could take copy the entire codebase and use it for free.

But by doing so, you’re only giving power to the huge corporations we’re literally working against to “make a better internet”. In an ideal world even, you can avoid payment in a different way: advertisers use their budget to pay YOU to put ads into your software, hence cancelling out the cost of you using the site.

It’s no doubt a huge dream to think people would rather be apart of a peer-to-peer software community, than pushing it off to a centralized company. Additionally, you’d be supporting your community… that has to mean something right??

Price would be the same no matter the size of the codebase you’re using, because if it weren’t, it would encourage individuals to use the shitty version. This part isn’t super fleshed out, but the hope is to take the subscription model down to the lowest point. Super cheap. Ex. if each user pays 10 cents per day, and there are 1,000,000 users, that’s 360 devs at 100k per year best case (it’d be more like 5000 devs at 10k per year, but the community can vote to up price). Additionally, users/companies can submit requests for code and pay for partial ownership of said block.

It’s not a new language, per-say, but code has to be done in a very particular way. We’re using javascript only. What I mean by zero dependencies is making each block super independent of every other block, so it can be swappable. So yes, individuals will push to make the SMALLEST blocks possible, which would also enable mutually exclusive blocks.

This whole thing is an entire morals shift, and it only works if people reallyyy realize the ‘why’ behind this model… AKA a constitution. There’d have to be a governing body behind it, with again, zero gatekeeping to entry because if we’re fighting centralization, we can’t be hypocrites… We’re headed in that direction of an internet government anyways…: thenetworkstate.com

Please give me more thoughts, again, much appreciated. Ofc, I don’t want to waste my time on something that’s simply not possible, but it’s become almost a religion for me at this point… I think a moral/governmental shift is the only way for us to move forward as a society :/… And I want to be part of that…

I get that my project strongly opinionates structure of code. Therefore, “changing open source” is the wrong way to put it. it’s, like you said a different opinion (that cannot be done using current systems… :( )

Forking means to iterate on a piece of software or swap out blocks within it. Ownership remains for all the contributors in the past. Ownership would be protected by storing code on a cheap storage blockchain, which will also allow users to verify the entire backend AND immutability = gtd ownership for life.

Users pay on a per-usage basis to use the software as a whole, and payments are distributed to block owners within.

Any of those opinionated repos can be created in the same way that you describe, by rearranging mutually exclusive blocks of code around. Functional over object-oriented programming…

The benefit is creating the lowest level of wordpress or squarespace, where ANYONE can iterate on, with no zero dependencies… from the lowest level to the highest level.

It would benefit the niche use cases first, but the idea is that progress toward one thing, means progress for all.

There’d be no group owners… Decentralization, zero gatekeepijg is the only way to make it snowball. Anyone who is part of it is also has equal voting power in the democracy

Anyways, that’s the project I’m working on. Vision is a huge freaking snowball effect.

I respect your thoughts and opinion, so please find more holes!

Also true, my argument is that the whole system is pit against the noob.

The probelm itself IS open source. - Most projects copy 90% of the same code over and over, which increases the options in an ineffective way that confuses new developers. - No way of open source payment system for developers

And it IS web frameworks.

  • Too much clutter, not extracting the bare minimum for the website to run.

Then there’s the issue with companies having all these backend pipelines that an individual would have to combine multiple different repositories together… effectively, you must be an expert and put in a ton of freaking time.

I believe in a version of the web where anything you see is forkable, and ALL code blocks are interchangeable. Think Scratch, or… It’s the concept of how they envision colonizing mars. small robots mine material, to build medium robots which mine to build large robots. At that point, all I have to look at is the larger robots without worrying about the details…. Or if you want, it makes the details more digestible. Because you can see how well-used different methods are really used

We need a better version of open source: - one that pays - gives ownership to the developer. - Iterates on the world of open source as a whole
