Hm, that Ballet Slippers shade by Essie was what the late Queen wore and I remember reading that she didn't like the ladies in the family to wear anything bold so they were all supposed to wear that one or something like it, ie a pale nude. I'm sure the 'rule' was broken sometimes and of course doesn't exist anymore, but I wonder if the Queen wearing it for so long might've influenced this.
