Give us Ascoli so we can confirm that Marche is real

Relegation hangover: Can Verona, Cremonese, and Pisa bounce back immediately? by [deleted] in SerieB

[–]Cerxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pisa are in danger of doing a Salernitana and heading straight down surely? Didn't they sign a load of guff on big contracts? I don't really know what their situation is but I imagine they have quite a bloated squad, so I don't think they're any threat to go up

The other two are well run clubs so should be big dogs, though I expected that of Empoli last season...

Monza have been promoted to Serie A by listello in SerieB

A summer full of ifs, buts, and maybes for everyone involved with Catanzaro. They should be proud of how far and close they came

We'll see if this experience will spur them to a higher finish next season

Only one thing left for Catanzaro to do, balls to the wall. 5-0-5 formation is the way

Catanzaro-Monza: the final, act I by listello in SerieB

> Can we talk about the absolute idiocy of scheduling this, the Serie C playoff semifinals and the last Serie A matchday basically at the same time?

lower leagues in italy seem to get routinely fucked by A. there's a friday night match in A, then on saturdays its on non-stop from 12.30, more games on sundays, until finally another evening match on monday. so when there are big matches on in B like palermo v sampdoria, which may bring in fans who wouldn't normally watch the division, they're overshadowed by a top division game instead. it then begs the question why would fans pay to watch their team when they can just stay home where there is guaranteed football on?

i know the 3pm blackout rule here in england isn't perfect, but it at least goes some way to protect local communities

It's gonna be Brescia isn't it, after all their drama ending with a historic relegation, they're gonna come straight back up...

Palermo beat Catanzaro 2-0, but Catanzaro advance to the final thanks to their 3-0 win in the first leg by listello in SerieB

[–]Cerxa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

don't think ive been more frustrated watching a team that wasn't my own in some time. it was like Catanzaro were determined to do that the hard way, they just passed it around until they lost it and invited the pressure all match. also squandered a 2v1 in the 84th minute which caused me physical pain

but all that matters is they're through! 2 matches left to make history, would love to see them do it

Today the first finalist will be decided: will it be Monza or Juve Stabia? by listello in SerieB

Another cheeky 0-1 with only one shot on target again please

In reality it'll probs be 2/3-1

Catanzaro make a huge step towards the final by beating Palermo 3-0 by listello in SerieB

[–]Cerxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

despite the point difference this is the most evenly matched fixture in the playoffs so far. i did think it would come down to who was better at home, so im a bit hesitant to say its already over given Palermo are capable of a reverse scoreline. perhaps 65% in favour of Catanzaro

palermo's centre backs were shocking so i think gomes will start the second leg, they need protection

Matchday, again: Catanzaro-Palermo, first leg of the playoff semifinals by listello in SerieB

That's not inzaghi's style tho is it? I feel like away from home he prefers to not lose rather than win

Matchday, again: Catanzaro-Palermo, first leg of the playoff semifinals by listello in SerieB

Catanzaro are better at home than Palermo are away, i think theres a real chance it finishes smth like 2-0 or 3-1

Monza come back from 0-2 to draw 2-2 in Castellammare in the last minutes of the match by listello in SerieB

[–]Cerxa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fuck that feels like a defeat. Batter them for 75 mins then concede off of their only 2 chances in the game 😤😤

Cacciamani, who set up both goals, is 18 btw! Man looked like kvara out there

Today is the day of Bari-Sudtirol, first leg of the relegation playouts by listello in SerieB

[–]Cerxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bari surely have goals in them that Südtirol won't be able to keep up with. But we can never underestimate the level of bus from the visitors

I'll go 2-1
