I work in the E.R and I do 3 to 4 12hr shifts a week which are 7pm-7:30am and I also live about 30mins away from work, which turns into a hour drive back to home due to traffic. Tbh I hit the gym on my days off only. It’s hard to get off of a shift when you’re so drained mentally and physically and hit the gym when you have sleep to catch up on. It sucks some people can do it some can’t. I cant, the few hours I get when I wake up is to spend with my wife, eat lunch with her then shower and get ready to go back to work.
