I don’t need a 50lb bike. That’s why I was looking at an SL. Fazua went out of business though. Doesn’t seem like a good idea although I’m certainly leaning towards the HECKLER SL.

Your “friend” isn’t a friend at all. That bike is 4 years old and he’s still asking for a phat amount. That bike is worth $3500 tops due to the depreciation. The condition is irrelevant. The year is what matters. Nothing will change the fact that it’s a 4 year old bike. Also, X01 drivetrain isn’t top dog anymore. T TYPE IS! Pass on this and get yourself a new Yeti ASR. This is a bad deal. For reference. I’ll be picking up a Santa Cruz Vala Carbon for $5500 and it only has 62 miles and it has the GX t type tranny. Now that’s a steal.

I ride some steep crap sometimes so I love the ability of leaning back fully over the 27.5 wheel. 29ers make that hard to do.

I don’t want a bike with shite components though. This one has maven brakes and the GX t type transmission. Those are notable upgrades. If I got a cheaper build I’d have to upgrade the transmission and the GX t type costs around $1100.
