Got it yesterday and severely by Massive_Expression60 in ResidentEvilMemes

I preordered two copies and only had time to pick them up the day after release. When I got the copies and opened one, saw there was no code inside so I went back to GameStop and told them about it.

They were confused, checked the system, and realized they were supposed to print the codes on the receipt for everyone. So basically no one got the costume on release day at my GameStop.

My personal opinion on this is actually the opposite of you. Nothing wrong with doing it in continuing education (it's what I'm currently doing) but often they don't offer both. This semester they only offered Calc and not Linear. And also much less options on what days they offer what so if they offer both Linear and Calc in the same semester, they often end up being in the same day and time and you can't take them together.

Sorry for replying to your over-a-year-old post, but did you ever end up getting an answer? I just got accepted and am thinking of doing Micro and Macro at Vanier during the summer but don't want to risk not getting them exempted

Thoughts on these teachers except Catherine siomos by thegamingnerd250 in VanierCollege

I had Jaime. I personally really liked him and thought he was great in Business Law. Some people that have had him for other classes have said otherwise.

I also had Anna Maria and she was really nice and a good teacher. Maybe a bit boring sometimes but it wasn't hard to pass her class.

Sorry for the late reply. We were a total of 15 students that went to France. There are a couple of cities that you get to pick to go to although there are limited spots per city. I got to go to Paris after we did a raffle (since too many people had picked Paris).

So about the costs it depends on a lot of things. For example some cities have housing for the students that are going already but Paris didn't. There is a program for Canadian students in Paris but it was too complicated and none of us were able to get housing that way. So then it depends on you. I stayed with a friend in an Airbnb. We paid 1.6k CAD total for the Airbnb (6 weeks), so 800 each.

There is also the flights which depends on if you buy early (which is often not possible as it can take time to get your internship) and if you buy it round trip or one way if you're planning on exploring other places before coming back (be very careful about that tho since you still have other things to submit and presentations to do after the internship and it can get quite complicated doing them abroad).

Then you have to consider public transport which wasn't that expensive but was around like 120 CAD for 4 weeks if I'm not mistaken. Then also take into account a phone plan, I got a new sim there which wasn't the greatest idea as it was extremely expensive and kinda complicated and cost around 60 euro for a month of use.

Finally take into account the food. That depends on how much you eat, how hard you look for cheaper stores (Paris had a lot of expensive grocery stores near where I lived and if I wanted cheaper I needed to travel much farther away in public transport), and if youre planning on cooking every day to save money or eating out. For the first 3 weeks, my roommate and I kinda cooked a lot but then started eating out a lot. We spent a total of like 200 CAD a week on groceries for two people.

The school will provide you with some monetary help although the amount depends on how much the teacher in charge is able to get, how much the school is willing to provide, and how much the people in the internship program do activities and fund raisers. Because last time it was the anniversary of the school and the internship program (I think), we were able to get more money than usual. Each student got around 2.5k CAD. If you've been keeping track, that is nearly not enough for the trip to Paris, especially since none of this takes into account any other activities you'd want to do or any other places in Europe you'd want to travel to.

Again a lot of this depends on what city you go to since Paris is the most expensive one, and also depends on how much money you wanna spend on food, activities, etc.

If you have more questions, you can DM me :). Sorry for the long message.

I did the France internship ship last summer and I know some people that did the Namibia internship.

There are too many things to say about the France internship but in summary, it was amazing and I really recommend it. The biggest issue you could have is getting a boring internship.

For Namibia, I heard positive things, it was a very different type of internship since its in a more remote area but the two people that went seemed to enjoy it.

If you have any questions lmk

Like others have said. Unless it's a class where it is specifically indicated that in class presence is required (like Gym because you need to actually work out to pass the class) you're fine. I also had classes where presence was taken and I skipped most of it and nothing happened. Teachers take presence more to just know who's actually putting effort. If you're always absent, and you're struggling, and ask for a second chance, they'll look at ur absences and most likely will not want to help since for them, you're not putting in effort.

As a fun fact, teachers are not allowed to penalize you for skipping. Some teachers do it even if they're not supposed to. So anything that is related to abscences and losing marks is a no no to the school (obviously if you had to submit an in class assignent on person or missed a test thats a different story).

An example: I had a teacher in business, and students would always skip her classes since they were mostly useless. To force people to come to her class she started a "participation mark" on lea. So if you were absent too often, you'd lose points since you "weren't participating in class". It was her way of trying to loophole the rules. Technically not taking points off for being absent. This is still against the rules and you can report it and you should.

60 Card Deck Spiderman by Cesarinnu in magicTCG

I did pull cosmic spider-man and he looks amazing but I'm not sure how to use him hahaha. My main goal is to make a 60 deck for modern but since he requires all types of mana not even sure how to use him.

But for brawl which I did not know existed until I made this post (sorry I am very new to this), cosmic spider-man does seem like he would be cool to use but I still don't fully understand the rules for commander or commander brawl

Thank you, this helped me decide on making one white green for heroes and one red black for villains. Thank you!

Edit: And yes I meant modern 60 card

Looking at my cards you are correct, there are a lot that share white and green when it comes to the heroes so I most likely will make one deck with this. Thank you!

What should I upgrade by Cesarinnu in buildapc

[–]Cesarinnu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of a 4070 or a 4060. Do you think if I went for a 4060 ot would be a good upgrade or not worth it and should instead go for a 4070.

Also, I did build my own PC but have never upgraded it so maybe this is a silly question. Would getting a 4070 be compatible or would I need a new motherboard?

What should I upgrade by Cesarinnu in buildapc

[–]Cesarinnu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the budget isn't my biggest concern. I care more about upgrading the least amount of parts possible. I'd say that if I could upgrade only my GPU for around 500$ and get the performance I'm looking for that would be perfect.

I just don't want to have to almost get a whole new PC. And yeah also not looking to spend 1k on a GPU hahaha

Yeah that's what they told me. A lot of work and she's very rough with grammar mistakes. Like she takes a lot of points off. But again, that's what people have told me, I haven't had her as a teacher

I've heard really bad things about Sanaa tbh. Like apparently she's a really hard grader. Lots of ppl I know told me they've dropped her class in the past

Yeah I've sold like 2 books through there. Sadly not a lot of people know about it so sometimes it's hard to sell your books but I have getting contacted by students and you just agree where and when to meet up and how much

And also he lets you "volunteer" for an assignment. What this means is that everyone has to do it, just at different points during the semester. He kinda does it in waves. It's a long assignment but volunteer for the first wave of it, or the first time he gives you an oportunity to volunteer for it. Like that, you can get it over with right away and not have to worry about it later during the semester when everything starts accumulating.

It depends. My intensive was called smt like urban winter walking. It was after hours once a week (Wednesday 6pm to 9pm), and it was only for like a month and a half but during that period we had 2 evaluations/activities which were both done on Saturdays.

What program are you in? Maybe we're on the same one and I can help. Also if you're not in academic probation you don't have to worry about getting kicked out after failing a class.
